Frank Hyla from "Time On The Water". My guess is Castaic baits is a sponsor of the show. Not to say they aren't good baits though.
  2. X2. I buy the 4" and also the 7" and cut them to the length I desire if needed.

Took mine apart and found the same thing. I remember weighing a 10lb. weight from my weight set and it weighed 10.00 on the scale. maybe I'll just get another one and be more careful. An extra 1/2" of wire to hook up the battery would be nice on these though.

My trusty Rapala Pro weigh scale just crapped out on me after 2 years. What do you guys use and recommend? Is there a better one than the Rapala?
  5. Can't wait to try them. I wonder if they are any good for ice fishing. :
  6. Looks like the fish have a black light like I used to have in the 70's.
  7. Yes sir. Mainly because the perfect frog walks so much better. X2 Will also be trying Ish's Phat Frog this year.
  8. As soon as it warms up, give me a holler Kelley.
  9. You guys better be planning on just looking and not participating. That would be CRIMINAL.
  10. Easy on yourself, Brian. Suck is a pretty harsh word. Stink maybe. I started and ended most days with a few casts to the rocks in the Marina. Who says you need a $50,000.00 boat (Kelley) ;D
  11. I remember standing on the dock where Leo had his boat in a slip and watching Cart go down the inside of it and land 2 keepers. If I recall, he had to back the boat out as it was a pretty narrow cut. I grabbed my rod and pitched a jig to the rocks an immediately caught a 14 incher.
  12. This or what Wayne said if weedy. I take 2 O-Rings and slide them on the bait and criss-cross them and insert the hook into and out through where the X is on the O-rings. better than 1 O-Ring where the hook sits parallel to the bait. Baits will last for several fish this way.
  13. Sweet is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. 8-)
  14. See his post here. Makes your mouth water.
  15. Keep rubbing it in George. Still 2 months of ice to go up here. :-[
  16. X2. Will depend on the bite.

  18. Where have you been hiding! Wouldn't be the same without pulling back into the Marina and seeing you and Glenn fishing from shore, catching more than we did out on the lake. ;D No kissy face here. P.S. Drum don't count.
  19. I like them. Check out Overstock Bait and Tackle, one of the sites sponsors. They have them for under 2 bucks if you can find a color you like.
  20. Couldn't resist using the new smilies, could you. Me either.
  21. This would be a timeline for the trip. Heading up. Leo getting pulled over for speeding. Brats the night before. A little celebrating. Ken, Brian and Matt after watching a Cubs/Brewers win. Leo after watching the Sox lose. Ken making breakfast. (not Pancakes) On to the fishing. Bragging rights for the day. Hit the road for home. Stop at Culvers a must.
