I saw the article. Pretty good press for the area. I'm actually thinking about hitting Fountainhead tomorrow morning. I was wondering if anyone had any luck lately or recommendations. I'm on a kayak, so I'm only so mobile.

Hey guys, sounds like a great outing. Nice fish Kevin. I was cleaning out the garage last weekend and found a snapping turtle in there still alive. We're a half mile from any water. I'm planning on heading out tomorrow on my kayak, but can't decide were to go. I'd love to go to Mercer, but can't figure where to put in. If anyone knows, give me an PM.

Nice fish VABasser. I've been out of Fountainhead a couple times in the last week and it's been real slow for me as well. Last trip I got a nice 3 lber on a drop-off, but couldn't put together a pattern. Got it on a 1/2 oz blue/black jig. I'm hoping I can get out tomorrow if the weather holds up.

Live in Burke and fish all the local ponds and lakes in the area. Fountainhead is my primary spot when I get several hours to drop in my yak. We should get a group of paddlers out this year for a mini tourney.

Been by a few Burke ponds and caught 4 all about 1-5 to 2 lbs, 2 on crank baits and 2 skipping senkos under a doc. Caught three at fountainhead today all under 2 lbs. One was by a lay down and two at drop-offs all on senkos.

Nice fish Simon. I had a bum wrist from the computer, but didn't give it enough time and it persisted for a good two weeks. Take a few days and use ice after using the computer.

Nice fish. I was out there Friday afternoon until dark. Caught the tale end of the rain, but what a beautiful day. Landed one just over 2 lbs and a small keeper. Hit on a 7" curly tail casting along a bank and the other on a spinner dragging along the edge of school of bait fish. I figured there was something feeding on the schools (which there were a lot of) since they kept bubbling the surface, but I don't know the proper technique. I figure a white spinner closely matched the fish, but it took a while to land the one. Can anyone advice?

Hey Eddie, Did you end up putting that big cat on the barbee last weekend?

Eddie, I couldn't make it out today, but am going out tonight at a local lake for some night fishing. I got my fish finder and am going to try out temporarily mounting the transducer so I can move it to a canoe when necessary. I'm using the method of creating the foam shell and filling it with water. I don't have high hopes, but we'll see.
