  1. ~ Past few seasons I’ve developed a bit of a love / hate relationship with the Strike King Short Arm Titanium rig. I had so much success with, but it was breaking apart while fighting picture worthy brown bass. Total Bummer. So I have been sort of gone back to the drawing board looking for a rig that would get bites and stay together to actually land the fish. At the time of this posting, I am still looking. I fished a couple of different Hog Farmer rigs south of the border this past fall. They are Very Stout and handled green bass up to 8 lbs. However I have some concerns that they may be over kill for my local needs. Good one ~ The A-Rig: G Funk Baits Bama Rig with Strike King Rage Tail Swimmer, Keitech Swing Impact FAT and / or Strike King KVD Swim N Shiner Mounted on Dobyns Light Hook Swimbait Head or Dirty Jigs Tactical Bassin' Finesse Swimbait Jig Heads or VMC Boxer Jig Head – usually all 1/8 oz. Baits are usually AYU and less than 4.75 inches. https://youtu.be/pKLeeC4612o?feature=shared&t=223 A-Jay
  2. I am an A-Rig angler and have been throwing a couple of different versions for smallmouth bass with varying levels of success for a few years now. On 5 hook baits, the middle and bottom 2 baits are by far the most targeted. On a 4 bait spread, where all the baits are seemingly on the same plane, it's still the bottom 2 bait that get bites. Not even sure I've ever caught a fish on the top two baits on any rig. So there's that. A-Jay
  3. No doubt ~ Not to mention all boat gas money I'm not spending. A-Jay
  4. Completed Workout Day 5 here. I'm just humming along right now. Eat, Sleep , Train, Off Day; Rinse & Repeat. I like it ! #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  5. I like Big Game as well. It's been the standard for me when it comes to 'comparing' all other nylon lines. However, while I do prefer Tatsu in almost every FC scenario now, I started out with InvisX and it treated me OK. Landed this Freaky of a Musky on 10lb InvisX while fishing casting gear & a jerkbait for Smallies. So it's not too bad In my mind, especially for price. A-Jay
  6. TW ~ with a Military Discount. Thank you very much. A-Jay
  7. Mine too I tried the Fuji's they were - OK. But even after the fold down, they stand a little tall for my liking. So this winter I'll be doing what @smesx did and removing that stock PIA and spinning on my own in FRONT of the reel. Item #56 on the Tackle To-Do list. Hard water Time should fly right by A-Jay
  8. She took the photo for me ~ And if money was our biggest problem, We'd be Golden ! A-Jay

  10. Thank You for your service to our great country. No Bread A-Jay
  11. Thanks - The Calcutta D's will need to be pried out of my cold dead hands. But there's a load of Limited Edition KVD Quantum Casting reels that will be looking for a good home after the holidays. Until then, lots of Ramen and PB & J for this guy. A-Jay
  12. I vote that one indicator light itself has gone caput. A-Jay
  13. Looking Hard at the Shimano Bantam MGL A Casting Reel ~ Might have been looking a little too hard . . . 😎 A-Jay
  14. It's a Bait Monkey Christmas up in here ~ A-Jay
  15. Hide your credit cards ! A-Jay
  16. Is the position of the hook hanger behind the reel and down in the split grip effective when you hang a jerkbait there? Or perhaps you don't use it ? Seems like a PIA to me. A-Jay
  17. I'm with @FrnkNsteen Med spinning is as high as I go. In my bass fishing, a MH spinner is a niche stick, most anything I'd use it for I'd rather throw on casting gear. If you need that then go for it. A-Jay
  18. And a Real Looker too ! Congrats. A-Jay
  19. Pssst ~ Hey @Koz You might be trying to fix a problem . . . . . you don't actually have. Just saying . . . . Sounds like you need a puppy. A-Jay
  20. @WaskaCrank12 I'll be looking to replace the AGM's I'm currently running in a year or two. So, still trying to read everything I can to decide which way to go. There's a lot to digest both the good, the bad & the ugly as far as reviews & comments are concerned. It's hard to know what the real deal is. And considering the cost of the newest models & the battery chargers that go with them, I'm still squarely on the fence. Also, there's at least some chance this will be the last set of batteries I ever buy; regardless of what they are. The boat monkey is a persistent and persuasive fiend. Good Luck with your decision. 21. Sorry you had a bit of time but glad it's all good now. Thanks A-Jay
  22. I'm confused. Seems there was some type of issue(s) with that battery as you posted in Oct. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/263301-need-some-help-with-new-lithium-battery/?do=findComment&comment=3107554 Has this been resolved ? A-Jay
  23. Completed Workout Day 4 as scheduled. I got no complaints. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
