  1. Thank you for your response. It was a close call for us on the either the Remington or the Mossberg both have off the charts reliability. Agreed, up close and personal a 00 buck pattern is tight. But it's a little wider than a single round of anything else. My wife & I both have many hours with both a 9mm & the 12 ga. (both retired USCG) The gun laws here changed here as of 1 Jan making ownership less of a PIA. Accordingly local supplies are low. We went with what we cold get and feel good about it. I just got a call from the "Gun Gorilla - the Bait Monkey's Big Brother" and a 9 is in the works. A-Jay
  2. Maybe we'll get real lucky and we can watch them flip docks for the whole event. A-Jay
  3. If it's a jerkbait bite - I going with Mike McClelland. A-Jay
  4. So Boats - I almost forgot to ask, as most of us have are slightly familiar with Dr Frankenstein's work - What color will those little bolts that poke out the side of your neck be ? A-Jay
  5. Congrats Man - I remember you saying that you were close to pulling the trigger on one. I've been a fan of that boat since it came out. If I were to break down and get one - that would be it. Looking forward to the photos A-Jay
  6. We'll be thinking of you Boats - Try to stay positive. Give yourself whatever gifts of time and rest you need to feel better - and know that you're surrounded by caring thoughts and prayers and heartfelt wishes. Rest easy & Get well. A-Jay & (Lynn)
  7. LOL ~ ! Dude - You're a Mess. A-Jay
  8. I fish very similar conditions here. Some Parks don't allow it - but fishing at night really does even the playing field quite a bit. A-Jay
  9. Yea - but you seem to be getting Full Time Benefits ! A-Jay
  10. I started using this worm again last summer after a long Hiatus. 9" & 12" are solid producers when fish want a sizable worm. Try a very slow presentation with a split-shot type rig on spinning gear - think outside edge of deep weed lines. Draw a single line down each side of the Scuppernong color with a Black Sharpie . . . . . . SHhhhhh . . . . . . . A-Jay
  11. I've gone the way of - I make my own. Simply tie a small section of old braided line (40-50lb) around your main line in front of the weight using a uni-knot. Quick, Easy, Neat & Cheap. A-Jay
  12. I had to start using wire - it was that bad - but in a good way A-Jay
  13. Yup - just decent medium/heavy bass gear is usually sufficient. Even if you go the big live bait route, only a small step up in tackle would really be necessary. Though I don't like to admit, my biggest pike have all come while I was bass fishing and not actually targeting pike. I'm good that way. A-Jay
  14. I know - you guys haven't come close to cleaning up the Last Two - Quick - Run out and buy the Milk & Bread A-Jay

  17. Similar deal for me too. I feed a wood stove all winter and that's like a job. A-Jay
  18. Interesting ~ In my case, I don't think target range will be a concern. However, a powder burn might come into play. A-Jay
  19. Oh Yea, I like that. ~ and don't forget that trailer hook - preferably a Big Treble. A-Jay

Family history indicates that these are not optional for me, instead I believe a Buff is more along the lines of "Survival Equipment". So, YES, I wear them. A-Jay
  21. I use a braid w/mono leader system and the kvd LC goes on all the spools used for leader material. I like it. A-Jay
  22. I think that's what makes it even funnier. A-Jay
  23. Man walks into a bank and say to the teller in the window "I want to open a ******* checking account". The astonished woman replies "Sir, that kind of language is not tolerated in this bank" The women then leaves the window to tell the Bank Manager of her situation. The Manager agrees that the woman should not have to listen to that type of language. They both return to the window and the Manager asks the man "what seems to be the problem here?" "There is no ******* problem" the man explains, "I just won $200 million in the dam lottery and I want to put my money into this dam bank". Oh....I see" say the bank manager, "and is this ***** giving you a hard time, Sir ?"
  24. It's just so encouraging to hear how excited you are regarding this spine tingling sport. I see no reason why you shouldn't turn your drive way into a year round curling rink. If you build it Doug ~ they will come . . . . . . A-Jay
