  1. I think intuition and situational awareness go hand in hand. Seems hard for me to have any of one without at least that much of the other. Been fortune in that living with a small pack of high prey drive dogs, has helped me belive in them and myself. Regardless of whether I actually "see" something or not. There's s a feeling that always needs to at the very least, be investigated. Hard to explain but it's definitely part of my existence. I also believe age can help a person get better at this. Finally, If you don't think 'women's Intuition' is real, you're only fooling yourself. A-Jay
  2. Congrats to you Sir And thank you for letting me know. Keep up the grind. 👍 A-Jay
  3. I use 4's EWG on most standard size baits, like 110's. Split rings a size 3 Owner Hyper wire. I can get away with it because the trebles are short shank. Also #3 oval split ring line tie. For the Jr. Size baits, I change stock 8's to short shank ewg 6's and rings are 2's. In most instances, especially with Megabass, those changes alone turn the suspender into a slow sink. Often a bite getter for me. A-Jay
  4. Storm SuspenStrips And Suspendots are decent. It's like an art form. A-Jay
  5. After a couple of off days on the water, I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 2. This one was special as it marked my 65th successful trip around the sun. Let's keep that going for as long as possible. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/12KSRhOxF1I?feature=shared A-Jay
  6. I get that 'it's entertainment', but C'Mon Dude . . . . Is that the best he can come up with ? "But he's so passionate . . . ." Not for me. A-Jay
  7. I'm working on some Ike Mute software. Using facial recognition, every time his mug appears on my PC, the volume automatically cuts completely out until he's gone. I'll let you know once I work out a few bugs. Seems the high pitch of his voice is similar to a screech owl. 🤓 A-Jay
  8. He's such a Spaz. And his fish care habits are not what I'd call exemplary. 😨 A-Jay
  9. Yup, finally. I'll add casting accuracy to the above most concise list. A-Jay
  10. Actual adult and mature married men and women know how to and are confident enough to communicate honestly & effectively. Boils down to truly having real respect for yourself and your significant other. Life is way too short for anything else. A-Jay
  11. I do not have or even been on a rig with FFS. I am of the mind set of let's wait and see. This forum has something like 75k registered members and I bet there's at least 10x that lurking in the shadows. At some point in the not too distance future, those of us who have been part of this amazing journey for a few decades, will IMO no doubt recognize a change. The level of significance of this change has yet to be determined. However if and when the reports thread, and the lastest picture thread starts blowing up with pages upon pages of posts depicting Giant after Giant bass, being landed by folks with little to no bass fishing experience, that might convinc me that this FFS phase of fishing, is anything more than just that. Talented anglers will continue to succeed while others will continue to struggle; with or with out FFS. Perhaps I'm just in denial, but over the course of the decades I've been at this, countless deals dubbed the next big thing, have ended up just being a thing. Now after all that, I going fishing. ALWAYS HARD. Even though we know it's the right thing to do, Still pretty brutal. Very sorry about the loss of your boy. Our Pack is thinking of you. A-Jay
  13. It's a complicated deal. All said and done currently the at home treatment is not our best option. Fortunately the treatment center is not too much of a hike. A-Jay
  14. I live 'up north'. And I like St Croix. In fact, I purchased another one today. A-Jay
  15. If you buy Tatsu in bulk . . . . The 1000 yd 15 lb is on sale . . . https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094FLO1G?psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp A-Jay
  16. YOU ARE KILLING ME ! A-Jay
  17. They have several things going for them as table fare. Usually easy to catch. Easy to clean and cook. Fillets practically fall right off. A-Jay
  18. Bluegill by a Longshot for me. Keeper Walleye come in second and I stop there. I use a lightly seasoned breading on both and never any hot sauce of any kind I want to taste the fish. It's THE ONLY fried food I eat, but it's just so good. For a different deal, I will sometimes use a tempora type batter. Hope you have awesome weather and a great time A-Jay
  19. 4.6L V-8 and 200 hp. Nice unit. A-Jay
  20. I've already got a V-8 on the back of my Lund. And it's actually the right color. 😎 A-Jay
  21. Early 30's and you're already talking about the good old days when you were 20 ? Buckle up butter cup because 30 years from now getting out on the water is quite a bit harder. I'll be 65 in 3 days and I work very hard at keeping myself in shape all year long and it really helps. Even still, I can't fish all day any more. I'll use 1/3 of my energy to travel to and fish the lake. And save 2/3's to get home safe. No falling asleep at the wheel for this guy. However many 'hours' that comes out to - it is what it is. But I feel good and sometimes I even catch a few. Good Luck. A-Jay
  22. Looks like a dead floater to me ~ So the only way he caught that one is if someone threw it to him. A-Jay
  23. Prefer the mid price point stuff. I'm a 3000 size user & abuser. I like the line capacity and line management qualities. A long spool is helpful but with thin braid it's almost a wash for me. All that said, It's either Shimano or Diawa. But I do not have a clear favorite at this point. Top performers for me have been the Vanford and the Tatula MQ LT. I will agree with you that the newest Vanford FA might be worth taking a look at when it comes out too. A-Jay
  24. So morning's good. Mid day's good. Late afternoon's good. And Night time's good. Interesting that I only catch them when I go. A-Jay
