  1. Thank you my friend I appreciate it. Lynn's been riding a rough road for a couple of months now. But we're taking it one day at a time and thankful for every one. Hope you & Dee are fairing well. A-Jay
  2. 'Problems' with any customer service are all the rage. Everyones got some kind of story, or half a story about somthing that didn't go their way. The good stories with perfect coverage or better yet the thousands upon thousand of rigs that operate flawlessly for years and years, somehow we never hear about those. And despite 'so many' negative customer service tales of woe, people keep buying the boats. In the end bass boats, motors and trailers are covered and most all have decent warranties. It helps to have insurance just like on your tow vehicle. So at times we need the warranty coverage, sometimes we don't. Either way, reciting about who did or did not cover in the past, does not change what may or may not happen in the future. For the record Lund Customer service has done what the contract I signed said they would do. YMMV A-Jay
  3. After a couple of scheduled off days it was workout 3 this morning. Felt pretty good. I'll be switching things up starting on my next training day. Going to a double three day split routine; Legs-Push-Pull. I'll post it once I start it. Looking forward to the change & the challenge. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  6. When I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I made myself violently ill a few times down these things . . . And I was All About collecting those 'points'. #cavityvest A-Jay

Only time that's even remotely true is when all the roads are decorated with 12 inches of solid Ice ! So slap me silly and call me Frosty ! A-Jay
  14. I hope you can cut the bass a break and expand on this. I happen to agree with your premise but also believe that some of it has to do with fishing experience. At least it does for me. Btw, I'm sausage fingering the heck out of this phone my dern self. A-Jay
  15. I wish my fish were all doctors. Going to my appointments would be a whole lot more fun. Plus they have no fingers. ? A-Jay
  16. This report has been a long time coming and there’s a few reasons for that. Some of it was physical, a good bit was definitely mental and I’m pretty sure there was a spiritual aspect to it as well. Either way, I managed to get most of that behind me and wrangled my bass fishing self to Lake Menderchuck this morning. Besides simply just being out there, my mission (and I always need at least one) was to re-graph a couple of my favorite haunts. I’m starting with a clean slate as I chose not to re-load previous way points into the new graphs. I was greeted with a most excellent warm sunny northern Michigan morning, the type of which might not be the best fishing but would allow me to effectively work through the main mission. Once I got on scene at the first area, I couldn’t help myself and just had to make a few topwater throws, just to see. It had been a minute and while the graphing is important, getting my string pulled a couple of times is abundantly more fun. So I moved way inside and set up over some mid depth weeds. Sk Sexy Dawg One Knock, about 5 casts and I had my first fish. Stout & heathy specimen of green bass. Can’t tell you how good that felt. Few minutes later I moved a little deeper to fish the weed line edges. Jack Hammer was making it happen. A few more bass, plenty of pike, a cutter walleye and even a few Rock bass, all helped to recharge this man’s inner humanness. #relished Starting in August some time (could be early, middle or even later in the month) some real bruiser brown bass will move in these areas to feed. Knowing where the bait is hanging out can prove helpful later. Bare spots in the vast feed flats are like Gold Jerry, Gold. Conversely, Isolated Weed spots on the deeper flats that are mostly barren, are even better. Especially for the biggest fish. So in preparation for all of this, after my much needed fish fix (and a sandwich) I spent the next almost 4 hours doing ‘the work’ and it was awesome. The areas I ran and marked were so healthy and so full of life. Between the detailed graphing and the clear water, I was like a kid in a candy store. SO Much Bait. And more of the ‘right kind’ than I’ve seen in a few years, meaning yellow perch that look too big to be smallmouth food, but they most certainly are. I’ll end this one here by saying that deep down in my bass fishing soul, I’m getting the type of vibe that indicates that in the next several weeks, the trophy brown bass prognosis could be magnificently memorable. But even if it turns out to be a bust, the anticipation that keeps me up at night, breaths the life right back into me. Fish Hard A-Jay
  17. The way I look at this is, as long as I can safely maneuverer my truck & boat trailer up the highway, down the boat ramp, and then safely navigate my boat to the area I'm fishing, hooking a bass is well within my ability level. My workout routine takes care of the rest. Fish Hard A-Jay
  18. Bumped into a few green bass early this morning. Topwater was the deal. A-Jay
  19. Through the lip cull clips, gobies, Zebra mussels and fillet knives will end it all. No sense even making a cast these days. A-Jay
  20. It's all relative. My goal is to stay balanced , flexible and strong. And by strong, I mean that I want to be able to have whatever my everyday life requires me to do, be easy. So my training is the hardest thing I do. But there's a fine line between challenging myself and staying within my self. Just because I can doesn’t necessarily mean I should. Being injured especially now is a crisis. I'm just getting over a knee strain that scared the hell out of me. My advice is to always do less. You'll be way better off in the long run, and that's what this whole deal is all about. Taking off days between workout has been beneficial. A-Jay
  21. In terms of total cost of ownership I think they are totally worth it. I use them because they are maintenance free and are less likely to leak. A-Jay
  22. Workout two today. I was surely feeling the way too many hours of yard work completed yesterday. This one was decent but I will need two days off. The old guy just can't hang like he used to. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  23. Forgot to finish this one off. I remembered I had a third dead unit in the tackle room. (not any more) No doubt the first two rounds I lobbed at that left hand unit weren't anything to write home about. Starting feeling a little better about myself after squeezing off a couple into the right hand unit. And then managed to tightened things up a bit on that center unit. Graded out as 'barely acceptable' by my own standards. btw ~ The Graph Glass didn't stand up. A-Jay
  24. Right back at ya my friend . . . A-Jay
