Howdy. A search for the origin of Tennessee handles on spinning rods led me to this excellent site and I am happy to be here. The thread about taping reels onto seats was highly informative. I'm a mostly retired freelance writer and addicted kayak bass angler, fishing small (15 to 30 kayaks) tournaments on weeknights and Sunday afternoons from April into November. Most are in southern Michigan and I get down to fish a few in an Indiana series as well. I used to fish some national events but really prefer the three-hour, fun fishing contests we have from 6 to 9 p.m. I still write a monthly column for Michigan Woods-N-Water News and often send an expanded version with more photos to the MidWest Outdoors tabloid. I also have been the Bass By Yak columnist for Bassmaster Magazine for several years, but that column was recently discontinued. I still contribute the occasional kayak feature to that magazine. I like to catch bass however they'll bite but have a special affinity for finesse presentations, especially casting Ned rigs. I recently acquired a small, used Bass Tracker so I can take kids and grandkids fishing, too, hoping to get them to love fishing and the outdoors as much as I have over the years. I look forward to participating on this site!MullFinesseShadZ.thumb.jpg.fa4f72d55fca1d42711a92cdc7caca16.jpg

Welcome Aboard

Welcome, I used to live in Kalamazoo for 3 years. Definitely some decent fishing around there if you know where to look.  You will definitely learn a lot of things from the vast amount of knowledge that a lot of forum members have.

Welcome aboard, Dave! ?

Welcome Dave.  I might have to tap into your knowledge about fishing and camping in SW Michigan at some point.  Glad to have you here.

Hi Dave, I saw one of your presentations at the Ultimate Sport Show in Grand Rapids, probably in 2022. I enjoyed it, will be nice to see your contributions here as well.

Greetings Dave and welcome to the forums ☺️
