  1. Just wondering if anyone has fished this bait? It is a pretty cool bait.
  2. This is all good input, and that is what I was looking for! If anyone has anymore please do. I was looking at the Wright & McGill Skeet Reese Victory spinning reel in the BPS catalog any info on this reel would help alot, I don't have a clue about this reel. It looks like a good reel but a tad heavy compared to the others but in my price range.
  3. I will be going back to BPS next weekend. I will take a good look at these, Orra,Aird,KVD. I have a few of the President reels, and I like them I just wanted to try another reel. Thanks for the input.
  4. I went and bought the Carbonlite spinning reel and I need to take it back! It was REAL hard to get the bail to snap back. So I was thinking of going to a bit better reel. So what do you guys think? I don't want to go to a $ 100.00 reel, I want to stay around $80. I did spend alot at the classic,,,OH she is going to KILL me!!
  5. Last years model had 10 bearings and the new model (Curado ) has 5. I think last years model is the better one!
  6. Try the new carrot black that is new this year! I did see one at BPS Very lite, liter the the other carrot sticks.
  7. Chris, I can help you at lunch time! How was the SNOW the other day? Not much here, OH I didn't mean to rub it in! LOL
  8. Both are a class act for sure!
  9. I fish the Northstar jigs alot, and I have never had the problem that you are talking about. I have missed a fish or two but I take the blame ( asleep at the reel ). I would try to bend the hook up a bit if anything. Or maybe it is you,( not trying to be a punk ). Chris does use a good hook.
  10. The jig colors are so cool. I like the molting craw, dirty water craw, OH heck I like them all ! LOL Yes, the Northstar spinnerbaits are just as good. The ones that work for me are= New gill,Perch,Bull Gill,Common Shinner, the first 3 are a KILLER in the spring when they are on beds and in the summer all 4 are great on deep weed lines!!
  11. The NorthStar jigs are the best of the best!!!! When I found the Northstar I did give just all my other jigs to my friends!
  12. I think they have only one size. I may be wrong so if anyone knows the answer let me know?
  13. I agree with all these posts! Also a Zoom fluke, senko, tube,Robo worm,Paca Craw or Baby Paca Craw! If you fishing beds in more of a open area try a Rapala FO-7, it will drive them nuts! It just stays in there face!
  14. Yes, I guide up here in Wisconsin, and I guide at night. I fish worms from 7 in. up to 15 in.'s.I fish alot of deep water and my go to worm is a 10,12,15 worm. Now on the 10 in worm I fish a 5/0 worm hook or a EWG,on the 12 I go to a 6/0 worm hook.on the 15 in.worm I will play with a 6/0 or a 11/0 hook. I do like the Netbait C-mac worm in the 15 in. because it has a short body and alot of tail and that means more action from the ribbon tail. I your case you could run your hook and line through the worm and have the hook way off the head,it could be 3 or 4 in. from the head. Kind of tex- posing.
  15. The Jelly worm was a big part of my bass fishing back in the day. I was happy to see them come back out. I have a plastic sponsor and I must say that the Jelly worm will catch fish! Blue Streak is spot on. I like the black and grape colors alot. I told my wife that they should make a men's after shave of worm sents, and call it the worm after shave! Not the garlic sent ! LOL
  16. Gander Mtn. has them now. Looks like a good hook and a great idea. VMC has always made good sharp hooks!!!
  17. Suffix 832, Suffix brad,PP is my 3 er pick. All 3 are good!
  18. I may need to but a reel or two. And some more Jelly worms.
  19. I am looking forward to useing this line. Sufix is one of the top lines!
  20. This is a very cool rig. I started fishing it last year and I caught alot of deep water bass fishing this rig.
  21. I agree with all of these posts. You can fish it with no weight like the others have posted,I also like it wacky with a Buckeye Flick-it jig. it adds the wright weight to get a bit deeper.
