How many setups do you own?
On the advice of my lawyer and after lengthy consultations with the bait monkey, who’s counsel was I can only fish one rod at a time, I am going to plead the fifth.

Paris Olympics
I enjoy the Olympics because it’s pretty easy to cheer for those athletes representing the Red, White and Blue and this country in any event. It’s been a very long time since the men’s boxing team carried major interest, it’s been women’s gymnastics team more than pulled its weight in medals. I guess some of my favorites there’s a usually a ball involved, track, and swimming events.

Road To The Superbowl 2025
Keep talking QB pay structures, my team doesn’t have to worry about it until some time next year. Since the wideout pay scale got pushed into the crazy range, maybe Aiyuk will get the extension he wants this year or into next year when some money is freed up. In the meantime, maybe more time will be devoted to blocking responsibilities especially when it comes to leaving Chris Jones unblocked. Oh well, the march to the Super Bowl begins… Go Niners!

- The latest sale thread
@bishoptf, I just checked my Amazon account. Like your post above the description says 200yd but (size: 12lbs/1000yds) is what my original description said. I bypassed this because I did want 200yds and not a 1000yds spool. I posted it figuring someone here would snap up a deal on a 1000yds spool. Typical SNAFU 🤷🏻- The latest sale thread
Thanks for that @bishoptf, I did check it again before I posted it here. Maybe a call to Amazon and make them honor the advertised/posted price. *my apologies for the inaccurate post- The latest sale thread
Amazon has a 1000 yard spools of Seaguar InvizX starting at $21.86 for 8lb test, $21.80 for 10lb test, $22.24 for 12lb test for example.- Boat size advice?
What will I love and hate between a 19' and a 21', given the mission profile? What do you wish you had known before you bought your last boat? @txchaser to answer your questions as it pertained to my recent experiences in the last 20 years. I went from an 2004 20’9” ‘dual console with a 225 Opti to a 2021 20’11” single console with a 250 ProXS. Other than the obvious bells and whistles the biggest trade off between the two boats besides handling is storage. The older boat had about a plastic tub and a half’s worth of tackle that won’t fit in the new boat. The storage space was sacrificed for a larger cockpit area. (In the end I probably didn’t need all that extra tackle truth be told.) By the way you might like this video and these guys are in your neck of the woods and good luck with your decision.- Coping with chronic heart ache ~
Happy to hear @A-Jayyou two are doing better and Lynn will be heading home soon. And take care of yourself, that lower back deal is not fun.- Post a photo a day!
@Catt sporting the “High speed, low drag” look 👍. I can definitely relate because I’ve saved a small fortune by not going to the barbershop or buying hair care products over the years when I bought a Wahl electric clipper.. *those savings were then promptly spent on tackle or gas for the boat.- Happy Birthday @WRB
I recently discovered that today is @WRB’s birthday! It’s difficult to believe this wealth of knowledge and wisdom is slightly over 50 and bass still tremble at the mere mention of his name. So I’d like to say on behalf of myself and the Bass Resource community “Happy Birthday Tom!”- Hello from Upstate South Carolina

Hang in there @Spankey and continue to follow your health providers directions so you can get back to fishing. The worst thing would be a relapse when an extra day or two of rest would be better. I know I’ve been guilty of that mindset. This thread is a reminder of the importance of getting a COVID, Pneumonia, and Flu shot as we get older which I do in the fall. And when you do get out fishing, definitely post some pics in the latest catch thread- Favorite blade/pocket knife/multi-tool? What do you carry?
I think multi-tools are kinda cumbersome while out fishing, On my boat I’ve found a Spyderco Delica, 11” hemostats, fingernail clippers, and my go to backlash pick (pictured below) will potentially be used at one point or another.- Excellent Customer Service From Lowrance and H&H Lure Company
I just wanted to take a moment to thank two companies for excellent customer service and support. Too often we as consumers and anglers have good to great experiences which aren’t passed along as often as negative customer experiences regarding companies and their products. In the past two weeks I called and spoke with Jeremy at Lowrance and Ryan of H&H Lure Company. In speaking with Jeremy, I explained how the handle on my Lowrance ghost trolling motor had cracked where the cable enter the handle. I explained how I tried to fix it to no avail and that I wanted to buy another handle. Jeremy apologized, saying the handle had been redesigned with a metal plate inside to alleviate this from happening in the future. Jeremy would try and get a new handle sent to me when the warehouse received a shipment in the next week or two. Jeremy then put me on hold for a minute and when he got back on the phone, he had found a handle kit and would have it shipped to me with it arriving in about two days. My last fishing trip I was punching Primrose mats and lost a good fish to the mat. I got out my 18ft extendable H&H Lure Company decoy retriever to get my rig back. As I did the hook and about 2 1/2 feet of the pole pulled out from the handle and slowly sank out of sight. When I got home, I gave H&H Lure Company a call. After explaining what happened I asked the lady if I could buy the hook and 2 1/2 foot long piece of telescopic pole. She would pass this along to Ryan and he would give me a call back later. Well just a few minutes ago Ryan returned my call. He was going to send me the piece I was asking for, but he couldn’t find one in the shop. So he’s gonna send me a whole new 18ft pole, it would ship Monday and I should receive it later on in the week. I wanted to share these two instances with the Bass Resource community of what the epitome of great customer service looks like. All it took was a phone call and I hope others will or have had similar experiences.- Post a photo a day!
Have you taught him to retrieve? I guy I worked with back in the day taught his cat to retrieve. When he told me about it I said “BS”, and he had his wife get ball of aluminum foil. She gave it to me, I was told to throw it and say “fetch”. And the cat chased that ball of aluminum foil down, picked it up and walked over and dropped it at my feet. Never saw anything like it since and wouldn’t have thought it was possible.- PSA: Protect Yourself From the Sun
Sorry for you and your family’s loss @RRocket, and thank you for sharing this PSA with the Bass Resource Community….- Latest Catch Pics Thread
Nothing like a sunrise over the Delta when you’re able to see the Sierras in the distance. Best fish of the day was a 3lber dropshoting a Roboworm in sparse tules. While landing the fish, I was surprised by what appeared to be a very healthy fish also had numerous lesions on one side.- Help-Best dropshot hook
