  1. Pits are great pups @galyonj and unfortunately got a bad rap. We ran a dog rescue for years and most of the dogs and puppies were pits or pit-mix. I’ll also mention once upon a time when they were known as a Terrier, they graced the MGM record label and were a member of “Our Gang” aka the “Little Rascals”.
  2. X2, I did the exact same thing when we were looking for a house, and yes the ole single light bulb outlet was able to accommodate the needs of a four bank charger.
  3. @islandbass, your son has a very smart hunting dog and retriever. The name poodle comes from the German word for puddle “pudle” which according to google means “to splash in the water”. Apparently, the term “French poodle” is a misnomer. In France, the breed is called Caniche, French for “duck dog”. ( sorry Labrador fans ??‍♂️). It’s my understanding that hunters would trim their poodles coat down only leaving it in areas that would keep the dog warm or help them swim. It wasn’t until much later it became it something of a “fashion” thing. My daughter has a Golden Doodle (3/4 poodle) and the little dood is a retrieving machine especially during pool days.

Hello @stokajohlmt from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  11. Good looking pup, wish the three of you well
  12. Considering the impeccable timing of this thread*, not being able to go when I’d planned on it. Other than that, everything else is gravy and just part of a day out on the water. *repairman calling to say they’re available and have me scheduled ??‍♂️
  13. No way, not a chance. That’s my goal if I haven’t been on the water in a while, to find that one technique, that one bait that I don’t have to put down ‘cause they are chewing on it. And the aftermath of those days leads to “if this bait and color killed it, maybe these colors and similar baits will too” tackle buying spree. I wish there were more days like it, but to me figuring it out is what fishing is about.
  14. X2 @Tennessee Boy. I’d be curious as to what was there (as would most of us) and I’d try to find something similar if I believed it was promising.
  15. Enjoyed the video @Glenn, informative on both types of transom hardware. I did like the coverage regarding the change in pre-launch routines and how the steering locks pull everything together. I didn’t think steering locks made that much of a difference until I started using them. I do have both types and the DD26 system is one I prefer to use.
  16. Welcome back @Catch and Grease!
  17. 3/16 to 2.0 are the tungsten weights in my arsenal, including those Miller Punch Weights, definitely making for one heavy Plano box.
  18. No, California doesn’t have a band on lead fishing weights. Fortunately, we have the Pacific Ocean to thank for the fresh air. But like every other state in our great Union we ALL have our problems, don’t we?
  19. Hey, welcome to Bass Resource @Steve Beer! And I’m gonna join the line started by @Happybeerbuzz and say JDM for your new reel purchase
  20. Congrats on that pig ole pig @king fisher and thanks for sharing one hellova good day on the water!
  21. Sorry to hear of your and the Mrs loss of a long time member of your pack. She’ll be well received and have plenty of company in Canine Valhalla. Rest in peace Fenway
  22. Meanwhile out West the team currently known as the Oakland A’sA’sA’s, with a record of 6-23 are projected to exceed all expectations enroute to a record breaking season. Pretty sad to watch this happen to my team and a formerly proud franchise. Good luck BR members to your respective teams this season going forward….
  23. Automatic memories come to mind of my Dad throwing these on a calm evening across the still waters of the red clay bank ponds of North Carolina back in the mid 60’s…..
  24. Hang in there @Catt
