  8. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to BR members and your families, have a great holiday weekend!
  9. Happy Birthday @MN Fisher, hope it was a great day of celebrating!
  10. Yes, I’m a dog person as is my family. Our first dog was Wizard, a 38 pound, smooth Standard Dachshund. My wife ran a dog rescue for over 10 years and our two dogs (also rescues) were foster parents to over 90 puppies and other dogs during their lifetimes. Currently, we babysit the grand doggies, an English Cream and a Miniature Goldendoodle.
  11. Hey @RJB, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. I have a Ghost trolling motor and I initially experienced a minor hiccup where the motor needed a software update from Lowrance. After installing the update and after a little over a year of use I’m very happy with the performance Ghost and its features.
  12. $67 a month to work on the place when you’re not fishing? It must have needed A LOT of work @scalefacefor you to turn it down and probably saved you one hellofa headache ?.
  13. Hahaha, and watching where you step. I lost a month of fishing this past summer after getting COVID. The worst part was not knowing I had it and giving it to my daughter during our fishing trip while sharing a PB&J sandwich. I hope you and yours are doing well looking forward to this holiday season
  14. I know this isn’t a recent purchase, but I wanted to give a shout out to Daiwa USA and their Warranty Department. My last fishing trip I broke one of my favorite rods on a little pound and a half punch fish. I was extremely pleased with the rod that arrived a little over a week later ?. Thanks again Daiwa USA
  15. Thanksgiving is must be getting close. These guys were hanging out in the parking lot this morning as we walked to the truck after breakfast…
  16. I kinda figured that @N Florida Mike, I just thought it’d be a good time to post a couple photos of those coffee trees loaded with cherries as part of the conversation. And those cherries do eventually make a smooth cup of Kona coffee.
  17. Where’s key west? They have these kind of cherry trees there Mike?
  18. I received an invite to the Toxic Baits Chicken and Biscuits Holiday Toy Drive event over this past weekend. I picked up a Wad3 Hogg wake bait with a pretty cool color scheme. I later found out I won a couple of raffle prizes?.
  19. X2 I went from a boat similar to yours @Rainy, having no shallow water anchors and a trolling motor without spot lock to a boat with both. It’s definitely nice having both options. I found that other than fishing shallow during the spawn, I definitely use the spot lock feature on my trolling motor more, especially in current and/or windy conditions.
  20. It takes a little effort to get there, but getting a cup of the local coffee and a couple donuts (malasadas) are worth it…
  21. Nothing like a beautiful sunset while enjoying some tempura ahi for dinner….
  22. Good things arrive on your porch in little brown boxes, courtesy of Mr. Jones (aka The Bait Monkey ?)
  23. Sorry to hear about the unfortunate news.
