  1. Glenn, I just went back and looked at the Fork Media,....is that the SAME shirt you were wearing the day you hit the 9 and the 7 ????? If so, I suggest you pack it for the G-ville trip!!
  2. If it was posted on a public forum, it's public property This is the explanation I got when I found out a local store used some clips from our videos in a compilation that plays in the store. Don't get me wrong, they said if I objected, they would not play it. I said the only part I objected about was them not asking me first. To make good, they (He) made a donation for CAST for kids and I got a free jacket
  3. I got you all beat....ZERO gallons!
  4. Careful with tripods in a boat! I just use the front seat.
  5. wow, you just described my "Ex" :
  6. Those are GROOVY!!
  7. I understand what you are saying but we just don't work like that. I've been a mod, personally, for going on 3 yrs now. My reputation for integrity defends itself. Hopefully you'll hang around long enough to get to know me, and all the others. If something is funky, we often let the membership call them on it. Jim's thread is not funky. He has done nothing wrong and has a legitimate offer. BUT. I'm not just a mod, I'm a member with an opinion that I voice quite often. People who know me can choose to ignore it or accept it depending on their opinion of me. It works both ways. But just a sidenote, noone has bashed anything. I have never used a stayncharge product. I fish electric only for the most part and my saltwater boats don't have a need for one either. I am also not bashing the program, just stating that it isn't one I would be interested in. I'm sure there are plenty of people that it IS a good fit for and hopefully they will get on board with Jim. I wish him luck with his company as I consider him a stand up guy from the way he has handled himself here.
  8. Fishguy- Down in my signature it says "my fishing videos". Click that and then click on the one that says "2nd annual BR roadtrip-Lake Fork" Glenn and Kerri hit 3 fish over 7 lbs in one day including Glenn's 9.1 PB!! They were the highliners of the day. Triton21 (Kelley) also hit a big 8lbr!! They are all in there but we have the whole catch from Glenn's 9.1. We were fishing the same cove and Brent noticed Glenn was on a fish so we rolled film and sure enough,...it was a HAWG!
  9. Nothing was deleted Basscat. We have had issues with "pro staff" offerings here before. Many are scams, designed simply to sell more product under the disguise of sponsorship. We (I) come on strongly, true. It weeds out the disguised offers and allows straight up folks like Jim to prove their points,...as he did,....that's why the thread is still here. There is nothing hidden between the lines here which, as a mod, is my only concern. His offer is straight forward. Personally, It's not an offer I would accept, buying in to a staff deal just doesn't ring right with me but that's me. I have over 19 years experience with full sponsorship contracts. If anyone else chooses to accept this, they know what they are getting and what they need to give. That's has not been the case in circumstances in the past, with other offers. Hope that clears things up a bit for you. PS- They ALL look legit,...that's why we go through all this.
  10. You don't let the reel stem go between ANY fingers? Are you saying you hold the foregrip only?
  11. I bought one of these on the way back from Kelsey bass ranch when I visited in Cali. Saved the day. I bought it thinking it will be GREAT for in my backpack that I take on the UPS truck. Like FC said, takes 2 AA batts and like him, I have those on me 24/7 because of the camera (which also goes in the backpack everyday) Worth every penny but remember, it doesn't "charge" your battery, it just provides power. Also, remove batts when you get to a charger, or they will just burn right out. Here you go muddy-They come with different connectors, make sure it has the one for your model phone.
  12. Cool. Now that you have found our "Outings" section, feel free to use it more often,....geez,lol Glenn posted in Outings,...what's next, RW gonna post a pic? Gene gonna break 9lbs9oz stigma? Russ gonna shut up? (doubt that one ) The sky is the limit now! lol GM- Any pics? What is Keri's PB smallie?
  13. When the lake turns, it is the deeper water that holds the higher amount of dissolved Oxygen as well. The differences can be drastic. Newmatt- I was asked to partner with a friend for a fund raiser tourny up in Mass. one yr. It was a terrible day, 35 degrees, yadda yadda. Noone was catching. My partner started busting my chops saying he thought he had rought in the ringer but I wasn't doing him any good so I proceeded to retalliate. I put on a huge, fire tiger spook (old one) and it got a good chuckle out of him. we were at the point where the fishing was so bad, the highlight was busting each other up. Guess what. FISH ON!! A fluke, sure but it CAN happen. we still lost tho :
  14. WIMP!! Shoot, you mind as well move all the way to Mexico,......Raul is afraid of the cold too,lol....you guys could team up : Don't get me wrong, you'll be putting me up in your guest room once a yr but you'll never get me out of R.I. on a full time basis. NEVER Dirk and I shot down to the special spot in the river yesterday. Snuck through that yard and pulled 2 fish out of the hole. I got the LM, Dirk got the bitty SM. Those were the first 2 casts,lol,...just like when you brought me there. Nothing after that. It was an 8 minute outing, lol. Went across the street to the base of the waterfall and Dirk had another on but lost it in the rip. It wasn't Rudolph but it wasn't small either. Smallies just don't like me I guess, lol. Vinny got a 7.3 from my special spot yesterday too!!!! He was full blown cheating,....shiners. But he's allowed, he's still in the rookie class. And yes, I let him know how lame he was for using live bait, I thought we left him with the skill to do better than that but,....7 lbs in Nov is 7 lbs in November!
  15. try this one for wallpaper, it's a more conducive image size
  16. Wow,...Looks like a crappie/Peacock hybrid
  17. Condolences and congrats. You don't say THAT very often.... One thing though,....the jacket,.......you on the run man?? ;D

Nice Avid, keep at 'em man. How is the shoulder feeling, all good?
  19. Folks, I just got some very sad news. One of the anglers from the NEPVA tournament we hosted in October has passed away at 10:30 today. Veteran's Day. John Walls served our country with the U.S. Navy. John's service left him without legs but not without a passion for fishing and a compassion to share it with others. He has been with the NEPVA for approximately 7 yrs and was the first to join in from the state of NY. As a true ambassador of the sport, John proceeded to bring in more vets and get them involved in the program. By more, I mean A LOT more. John didn't just get them to participate, he provided these guys with transportation to and from all the tournaments as well. He is solely responsible for a some significant growth of the program and will be terribly missed by all. John was also a proud member of the NY Rolling Thunder Please take a moment to honor this fallen American. May he rest in peace and may his work be continued by others in his memory. Rest in Peace John
  20. Great video, thinking back I think it was made by a kid. God Bless our troops and may they return safely. Thank you to all that have served. It was actually made by a wife and her husbands fishing buddy. He's a member on a saltwater forum I am on. That's where I got the link.
  21. I hear ya Big T. Same here. Even to get a 10-15 lbr you have to be out by the islands (Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket/Block) There is no better inshore gamefish that I've found yet. IMO World Record is 31.12 Can you imagine??? :
  22. ok, still not "feeling" Veterans Day? for a little perspective
  23. Good point Catt. I certainly don't mean to exclude anyone, I just thought you had to have served in an engagement to be a Vet. ALL FOLKS WHO SERVE, OR HAVE SERVED, HAVE MY UTMOST RESPECT. A few memorial pics
  24. A couple of personal notes on this one. I really enjoy seeing BOTH affiliations teaming up to help with the kids in the CAST program and the vets. We need more events like this so all sides can see that it's about the fishing,...not the politics. 1 thing that "hit a soft spot" with me were the fact that I went there that morning expecting to see what I always thought of as "Vets",...mostly Vietnam guys. It really put things in perspective to see guys there that are 15-20 yrs younger than me (like tin2wins partner). We have a whole new generation coming home now and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure they get the "Welcome Home" they deserve. I wasn't around for the politics of the late 60's, but I do know that it has always bothered me how our returning warriors were treated by many. Getting involved CAN and DOES make a difference.
