  1. I'm still ticked off at the fact that they won the Super Bowl against Seattle due to bad calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. When does Tackle Warehouse usually have their big sale of the year? Thanks.
  3. I have found through trial and error over the last several years that the Quick Drops brand teardrop shape sinkers are the best made. They sell them on ***. I used to make the finesse style, but they seem to create a little too much line twist.
  4. Where's Dino????? For those of you outside of Washington state, this probably means nothing to you, but it should. Just goofing around Glenn. I'm bored.

M-F doesn't stink that bad, and it is the plastic most big time hand pour guys use. I have been pouring for probably 10 years, and I do not wear a mask either. I know I should, just lazy. I installed a hood fan in my garage, which gets most of the fumes out. The only time the fumes and smell would get to me was when I was pouring a bunch of stuff for orders, and we are talking around a thousand baits for large store orders, so pouring a few batches never bothered me in that regard. As mentioned in one of the earlier posts, water putty and silicone are great tools for custom designs or copying your favorite baits. I used water putty to make my prototypes and then I would send them out to get machined out of aluminum. Aluminum molds are the way to go though, for quality of finished bait and durability. They have a great resale on them if you decide you do not like the mold, which makes buying them a little bit easier. Basstackle.com is the way to go for your aluminum molds. He is kicking out new baits all the time and is really great to work with. Upperhand scents have awesome scents for your plastic too. Just add a few drops right before you pour, and they are good to go. This is a great hobby, and as previously stated, very addicting! Have fun with it! Don't be afraid to ask questions. The guys over at T.U. are really good and very helpful.
  6. I would look into going to Clear Lake. There are several bass guides there, and it is considered by many to be the best bass lake on the west coast. I don't think San Fransisco is more than a couple of hours from Lakeport, so it would be worth checking out.
  7. Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. I will get a couple of different brands in the light hitch color.
  8. I don't know anything about the hitch down their. We do not have them up here. Is that color pattern still a viable option, or do they change color a bit later in the year. I know Velvick won that event in the spring.
  9. Thanks. I will check it out.
  10. Thanks. I was looking at a couple similar baits on Tacklewareouse. I will check these out. I have only been down there once before, and I remember them having a pretty good swimbait selection at a couple of tackle stores by the lake. I might just wait to get down there to buy a couple.
  11. Heading to Clear lake in a couple weeks and was wanting to throw some swimbaits. I do not throw swimbaits hardly ever, so was hoping for some opinions on what brand and color pattern of swimmers to try. Thanks.
  12. KVD won his first Classic with on a flippin/pitching pattern. He won his second, and probably the toughest Classic ever on a jerkbait. His third came on a lipless crankbait. These are 3 vastly differnt patterns, and although the last two are reaction patterns, they are very different than deep cranking. He can be just as versital as the next guy when he needs to be. I really think Skeet is a special talent when it comes to fishing, and he will get his due in the future, but KVD is head and shoulders above the crowd. JMO
  13. Add right before you pour. Upper Hand Scents makes a killer scent called Coffee/Shad. This is one great scent! Doug is a great guy to deal with too, and his scents are second to none. Give his Hawg Sauce a try too!
  14. I use the trimming scissors from LureCraft. They are the best that I have found.
  15. It was a Rogue. He helped design that rod a few years back.
  16. I also like Animalpaintball. They made a couple of shirts for me last year and they turned out great. I talked to them on the phone and they answered a couple of questions I had. Good stuff!
  17. Soft or Hard? I make these type:
  18. I thought I would let you tacklemakers know that I put a 7 cavity 4" senko mold up for sale in the flea market.
  19. I have a feeling that Kistler will take care of you on the Z-bones. I wouldn't be suprised if the warranty gets an overhaul because I have seen quite a few posts concerning the price of these rods vs. the 30 day warranty. I personally, would not let the warranty stop me from buying one of these sticks. I know I would put my LTX's up against a GLX any day of the week, and these are supposed to blow them out of the water.
  20. I know this isn't the buy/sell forum, but I figured more rod builders would see this here. I have 8 guides I would like to get rid of. They are Fuji Sic Titanium HNSG guides. I took them off of my first rod build that didn't turn out very good. I have since gave up rod building. I am not 100% sure on the sizes of them, but I am pretty sure I have the following: 1 size 20, 1 size 16, 1 size 12, 1 size 10 and 4 size 8. I do not have the tip top as it shot across my shop when I popped it off and I can't find it . Pricing these out, they cost upwards of $70. $30 OBO TYD. I just want to get rid of them, so make an offer. They look new and are in great shape.
  21. Western Creature (N-Bugg knock off)
  22. He is also making the new Kistler Z-Bone series. From what I have heard, these things are going to blow every other rod away! I hope that is true. Love Kistler rods.
