  1. Maybe you can ask them why they stopped making their twister tail grub. I believe it was 4 or 5" and it had awesome tail action. I grew up using that grub in Junebug, Black/ Chartreuse tail, and black/ blue tail. The ones they make now are junk.

My favorite tubes are made by Dry Creek Outfitters. They are a small company located in Idaho. They have some awesome colors that are dynamite on the Columbia and Snake rivers. I like to rig them on rattling tube heads.
  3. They are $10.00 for a 2 pack. Still pricey, but I hope they work as good as I have heard because I just ordered 10, 2 packs last week.
  4. Looking good. Keep it up. Sometimes I wish I had never started pouring plastic, it is the most addicting thing(besides bass fishing in general) that I have ever done
  5. I have 2 GLX MB843's that I am finishing for a guy as we speak. custom burl split grip Fuji SIC Titanium guides straight wrapped "Kistler" style hook keepers This is sure addicting isn't it I find it really cutting into my plastic pouring time. LOL.
  6. Santa was great to me this year He brought me 4 new Rogue rods, 2 7' MH bait casters, 1 dropshot rod, and 1 7' M spinning rod. He also gave me $300.00 in gift cards to Bass Pro, which I already spent last night He also gave me some cash, which I used for a couple of big orders from *** and usacproshops.com. I got a bunch of evolution jigs, yozuri rattle baits, re stocked on my line and terminal tackle, and all of my finesse jigs. Great Christmas ;D

Are you guys using snap swivels with your rattle traps, or are you tying directly to the bait? I am making trap fishing one of my main goals for the upcoming year so I am just getting all my ducks in a row. Thanks.

Finesse jigs and traps. I found myself relying on a dropshot rig way too much over the last year.

I make a 4" ring worm if interested.

What style are you needing? I make a couple of different styles and can make that color. Let me know if I can help out.
  11. Have any of you used a Rogue rod? I used my buddies a couple of weeks ago, and it was incredibly light, crisp and ultra sensitive. He had a 7' MH Fast action Mag Bass series. I just sold a few of my Loomis and St. Croix rods so I can order a few of these. They run about $200.00, so not a bad price at all for a good rod. I honestly liked the feel of this rod better than my GLX.
  12. Sound is my main factor. I would like to know for sure what type is louder against a glass bead or brass clacker.
  13. Jim at Ghostbaits has some and they are supposed to be just awesome. He is a heck of a guy and his products are top notch. http://www.ghostbaits.com
  14. Upper Hand Scents are the only thing you need I have tried everthing out there and this one flat out performs great. Great guy to deal with too. http://gobassin.com/bassscents.html
  15. The 797 is a lot smaller, but it still is flat out amazing. I decided to not go with the side imaging when I put new electronics on my boat, and I regret it after using my buddies. It is well worth the price. If you can swing getting the bigger unit, great, but if not the 797 is still awesome.

What size and brand of hooks are you guys putting on your rattle baits?
  17. The last tournament I was in, my partner and I had one fish at noon. We were throwing drop shots and dragging hula grubs on football heads around all morning. Well we switched to dragging a 4" coffee lizard and within the next 2 hours we had culled probably 10 times. The color we were using was just plain coffee in the plastic with no colorant. It makes a nice cinnamon colored bait. Now was it the coffee, or was it the lizard they really wanted? Who knows, probably a little of both, but now I have huge confidence in the coffee scent. And as you all know, it is all about the confidence
  18. Coffee is a great scent for bass. Does it work better than other scents? I'm not sure, but it does work and I gained a ton of confidence using coffee scented baits this fall.
  19. I have the Magnesium Crankbait rod. Model MgCBGGM70. It is probably the best crankbait rod I have owned. I have owned G-Loomis, St. Croix and Team Daiwa crankin sticks, and I liked them all except the Team Daiwa, but I like the Kistler better.

That thing has great action. Great job
  21. I can probably hook you up. What are you using it for?
  22. My favorite St. Croix blank is the 5S70MF. SCV blank that is 7'long medium action, with a fast tip. The 4S70MF is also an awesome blank but in the SCIV model. I saw they also have a "vertical jig" model in the SCIV blanks that is 6'3" and it is a medium action with an extra fast tip. I think it is the 4S63MXF. I love all my St. Croix blanks, I don't think you can go wrong with what ever you choose.
