  1. Spring is almost here—but the water is still cold, the fish are just starting to slide shallow, and most anglers are still throwing the wrong baits. In this video, Glenn breaks down his go-to lures for that late-winter / early-spring window when water temps are still in the 40s to low 50s and bass are just beginning their transition toward the flats. If your lakes are still cold and you’re sitting in that “almost spring, but not quite” window, these are the baits that will get you bit right now.
  2. Hey everyone, Because our forum is as active and visible as it is, it naturally attracts attention from spammers and scammers. While our moderator team does an excellent job keeping that noise out, we also rely on automated systems to help flag potential issues. If one of your posts is held for moderator approval, it simply means our system detected something that might need a quick review. It doesn’t mean you violated any rules or did anything wrong—just that a moderator needs to take a look before it goes live. Moderators receive automatic notifications for every post that’s flagged, so there’s no need to send a PM about it. Someone will review it as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your patience, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the forum clean and enjoyable for everyone. Glenn
  3. There's already a couple of threads on this very topic. Take a look for EVEN MORE ideas!! Bottom line: any trailer will work just fine. Good luck!
  4. Uh, no. It has nothing to do with TRDs. These are poop baits. You'll know it when you see it. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Deps_Cover_Scat_Soft_Stickbait/descpage-DCSWW.html?from=basres https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Missile_Baits_Bomba_Worm/descpage-MBBW.html?from=basres
  5. Mariners are looking pretty good right now, coming just one win away from the World Series. Can Seattle bring home a pennant the same year as the Super Bowl victory? That would be incredible. I don't know if a city has ever done that within the same year before. Crazy to think that might happen!
  6. Teams are furiously hiring/firing coaching staff in hopes of making a run at the Super Bowl. The combine and draft are right around the corner. Will your team make it into the playoffs? My Seahawks took the top of the mountain and won it all the last Super Bowl, but can they do it again? The coaching staff has been pilfered, the franchise is on the auction block, and players want to be PAID! So it's an upstream battle to make it to the championship again. It will be a fight against strong headwinds. Time will tell if they can do it again. What about your team? Who are you rooting for? Let's hear it!!
  7. Ha ha! You ain't bringing me down. Scoreboard bro. Scoreboard.
  8. Man, I am SO itchin' for Spring pre-spawn bassin I can taste it! Who's with me?!
  9. Carolina rig them. I let the cat out of the bag in this recent video:
  10. Fuzzy baits are taking bass fishing by storm. Learn how these strange lures work, how to rig them, and when to use them to catch more bass. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fuzzy-baits.html
  11. @TNBankFishing Done!
  12. Unfortunately I had to close this thread due to disparaging comments regarding products from various countries. Several posts were edited or removed, and one member banned per his request. We do not allow posts that frame product quality as inherently inferior based on country of manufacture. That applies to Mexico, China, the U.S., or anywhere else. Comments framed that way consistently lead to country- and people-based disparagement, and we do not allow that here. Editing posts to remove policy-violating language while preserving the useful technical content is standard moderation practice on this site and has been for years. It is not identity theft, nor is it a violation of your rights. Participation here is conditional on accepting moderation. You are free to disagree with our policies, but they are not negotiable and will continue to be enforced consistently.

I like the bobsledding and luge. Maybe a little of the freestyle stuff and long jump too. But every time I turn on the TV, it's ice dancing and downhill skiing. I'd rather watch reruns of Matlock.
  14. Owning and running a business requires a wide range of skill sets. Some people excel at customer service, others at management. Some are exceptional at booking and finance, while others shine in program or project management. Great leaders understand their own strengths and weaknesses and build teams around them—bringing in people whose skills complement where they may fall short. That said, even with the right skills, success also depends on the right fit. Retail, for example, isn’t for everyone. A person’s talents and personality may be better suited for marketing, engineering, or any number of other career paths. Separate from skill sets, some people are simply a pleasure to be around. They get along with others easily and are genuinely good people. I’ve never personally interacted with the gentlemen running the Rod Locker, but they sound like good guys. That alone doesn’t determine whether retail is the right fit for them. Time will tell how things unfold. For now, let’s avoid rushing to judgment and allow the situation to develop on its own.
  15. There are a pile of old school bass lures that have survived decades of pressure and trends — and they still catch fish day in, day out, year round. This video explains why these baits still work, how to rig and fish them, where they shine against pressured fish, and how “forgotten” profiles and actions often outperform the trendy stuff the bass see all day.

  17. Whether your goal is a balanced pond or trophy bass, this step-by-step process will help you understand what truly drives fish growth, survival, and long-term success. Pond management isn’t guesswork — it’s a system. https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/evaluating-lakes.html
  18. Well I guess the rumors were true... I didn't want to believe it, but here we are. That's disappointing. I was hoping for another superbowl run, but I don't see that happening now. It is what it is. That said, it would be awesome if the 'Hawks were owned by the people like Green Bay. We shall see. On another note, now that the season is over, shall I close this one out and start a new 2026 thread?
  19. Yep, got a video about that too!
  20. Yessir! I made this video about the time when people were just beginning to hear about dice baits. Thanks @Jigfishn10
  21. Whether you’re targeting bluff walls, docks, or deep cover, this guide will give you the edge you need to put big bass in the boat during the coldest months of the year.
  22. No, that's not bashing. It's your personal experience. Bashing often is broad-stroked generalizations against anything a particular brand's products. That's one example, not a definition.
  23. Yes, you’re welcome to post about them. There’s a fine line between brand-bashing and sounding like a promotional pro-staffer, and we try to stay right in the middle. What we value most is honest input based on real-world experience. That kind of perspective genuinely helps the community make informed decisions. Just make sure the discussion stays balanced and constructive — keep it between the navigational beacons.
  24. Don't the seeds that get scattered on the ground attract mice? My neighbor has several bird feeders and a mice problem. He said it was because of the seeds.
