  1. Caught my tongue-in-cheek tone, did ya? 🤣
  2. I've been wearing WileyX for years, but last fall I tried out some Hobie sunglasses and woa! Very crisp and clear! I'm impressed. And...I always use Cablz on my glasses. It only took one time to lose a pair overboard to learn my lesson (I was swatting a bee near my ear and knocked my glasses into the water).
  3. We just got the first snow of the season today. Maybe about an inch. We're supposed to get 5 more tonight.

  5. Storage and organization are not often discussed, but thankfully, many products on the market will make your life easier in the never-ending quest to stay organized. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/tackle-storage-organization.html

  9. That's what I'm talking about!
  10. Just twenty years ago, the word "hyper-eutrophic" barely existed. Today, it's commonplace among environmental service providers and people who manage water. In 1972, about 15% of water was eutrophic, meaning it was "nutrient-rich" and thus vulnerable to harmful algae blooms. Today, at least 55% of fresh water in the United States is nutrient-impaired, and a sizable fraction of this volume is hypereutrophic. https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/methane-ponds.html
  11. There's 838 of 'em
  12. Uh...ok, so I admit they're a bit hidden, but when you reply to a post, there's a little smiley face on the top bar. Click it and then scroll all the way to the bottom. Reactions galore! And I mean A LOT! I put those there many, many years ago.
  13. Well there's a big red flag, right? Yep, no stores. In fact, the image above is their corp HQ....NOT a store!
  14. Jitterbug - works during the day too! Mann's Jellyworm (yeah, I still have a few left) TUBES - I throw them all the time. I have about 400 or so in stock. Grubs - Again, I throw them all the time Hula grub - A late summer/early fall staple Herb's Dilly - All of mine broke, except one. It's still in the box. 15. I always wear my PFD when the big motor is on regardless of speed, and it's always attached to a kill switch. I've never needed a tournament rule or state law to tell me the obvious. But hey, apparently not wearing a seatbelt is becoming a trend these days. A product of not being forced to watch the gruesome films in driver's ed we had to watch when we were teens. Seeing a dead body sticking out of a windshield with their jaw ripped off kinda stays with you.
  16. Well I gotta say that was the SMOOTHEST transition to a new server I've ever had with this site. Not only was it moved to a new, more powerful server, but also to a new OS system. Some of you have been around long enough to remember other migrations when the site was down for days, then intermittent for weeks. This time, I did it differently, starting the process in September by configuring the new server and developing a plan with checklists. Then, we ran through 3 different mock runs with the new server, each time fixing the issues from the previous one before giving the green light on the fourth and final live migration. I'm greatly over-simplifying 5 months of work, but I'm delighted with the outcome! I want to give a HUGE shoutout to our sponsors for without them, this couldn't have happened and the site would have been shut down (yes, that's true). So don't get so annoyed at those ads, guys; they're literally keeping your site around to enjoy!
  17. Hey guys, if you see something like this on your social feed: It's a scam. I confirmed with Simms these are fraudulent sites. Simms is NOT closing any stores. The only clearance sales from Simms can be found on their official website, simmsfishing.com Today, several websites that all look the same sprouted up, all proclaiming this big sale, all advertised on social media. They're likely scam sites designed to get your credit card information. Simms is working with authorities to shut them down. Buyer beware!!
  18. Eagles vs. Chiefs.... When does baseball start?
  19. Hey guys, This is a cool format for a tournament that helps a good friend and bass angler battling cancer. Even if you can't make it, please consider donating via the QR code. Thank you so much!!

  21. Fishing a jerkbait is always a good idea when bass feed on baitfish, and it's no wonder they are such a popular lure. It is easy to get the most out of them. Here's how. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/four-jerkbait-tips.html
