The surgery was successful in that they were able to relieve the pressure on his nerves. There were no complications. Whether he makes a full recovery is unknown. Nerves take a long time to heal. My father is resting now. He'll spend about a week in the hospital, and then transferred to an adult care facility for 3 months of rehab and physical therapy. The dangerous part is over. My 90-year-old father is going in for spine surgery on his neck to relieve constricted nerves. That's a pretty tricky surgery for somebody his age. He could end up paralyzed. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He could use all the help he can get. Thanks! Glenn

That is hard core. That reminds me of two guys who were in my bass club. Twins. Between the two, they would drink 4 pots of coffee per day, minimum. They would fish tournaments together, and bring a camp stove on the boat to brew coffee throughout the day. They had wicked dropshot presentations!

Wedding ring. Yup. In front of my wife. I had just reeled in my jig that was covered in algae. I pulled it off the jig and tried to let go of the algae so it would fall back into the water. It stuck to my fingers. So I shook my hand vigorously to free the clingy slime. It let go of its grip...while pulling my ring right off my finger! PLOP! Wife, "What was that?" Me, "Uh...I'm not sure." (looks at hand) "Oh no! It was my ring!" Wife, "Can you see it?" Me, "Nope. It's gone." Wife:

I've used it quite a bit, and haven't lost any fish. You can see in my video the fish jumping too. I really doubt it was the rig's fault. More like a dull hook or poor hookset. Overall, I like the rig. It gives a different look to the bait particularly where T-rigging has, up until now, been the only option for flipping/pitching.
