Scientists Complete First-Ever ‘Virtual Brain Upload’
Well, we've had many obscure topics over the years....on a BASS FISHING site. So certainly this isn't a first. I'd put it right there with the sasquatch, Nessie, and UFO topics we've had. LOL Not making fun of you, but that's a topic difficult to understand on a forum. Perhaps we can discuss something easier....like string theory.

Scientists Complete First-Ever ‘Virtual Brain Upload’
I presume you intended that as tongue-in-cheek or satire. RT.com (formerly Russia Today) is a Russian state-controlled media outlet that is pro-Kremlin. THAT is your source? And why are you on such a site anyway?

Yep, it happens to anyone that pounds away at a particular hobby, sport, or job. It's normal.

School me on big, deep, rocky river smallmouth!
1st, become intimately familiar with river maps. There's a lot of "gotcha's" in that area, and not all of them are well-marked. Get on your trolling motor when venturing out of the channel until you've waypointed your routes. Next, watch this video. Oh, and guess where it was shot? :)

Fluorocarbon coiling/memory: How effective is stretching as a solution?
Line memory often occurs on cheap lines. I'd recommend Seaguar BasiX, which a budget-friendly, high-quality fluoro that is less prone to memory. Tatsu or R18 is the best, but they're also pricey. You can get R18 in the single-refill size, so that helps with cost. You'll get little memory issues with that stuff. Note that fluorocarbon line doesn't absorb liquid, so spraying on line conditioner basically gives it a slick coating, which can help with casting....until it washes off. I wouldn't waste my money on line conditioner. Intentionally stretching line isn't recommended. Spooling new line at least every year is definitely recommended - with any line. Storing your rod/reel and spools of line a dark, dry place (like a rod locker or closet) helps with longevity.

when the fishing isn't ideal, are you listening to anything? music?
It depends. I have a Sirius stereo on the boat, but I usually don't have it on - especially when the wildlife is awake and making its own music. That said, every now and then I like to kick it down a notch and play something quietly in the background. Fishing doesn't always have to be full throttle.

New Video! Use This System to Crush Pre-Spawn Bass Every Year
Winter is finally fading and pre-spawn is right around the corner – but the water is still cold and the bass can be stubborn. If you want a full step-by-step system for catching more bass BEFORE spring really arrives, this video lays it all out.

Any advice for improving image quality for attachments to forum posts?
This is somewhat of a rock-and-a-hard-place situation for us. BassResource isn’t designed to function as an image-hosting service, so we simply don’t have the storage capacity to support unlimited uncompressed image uploads. Large file sizes also create significantly longer load and download times, which can negatively impact the experience for other members. At the same time, relying on third-party hosting services for large images can create its own set of issues. When members upload very large externally hosted files, it forces others to download unnecessarily large images just to view a post, which can be frustrating. There are also long-term reliability concerns. In the past, we’ve seen members’ third-party hosting accounts lapse, which leaves broken images scattered throughout older threads. Similarly, some hosting platforms have shut down entirely or switched to subscription models for viewing images. When that happens, posts across the forum end up filled with missing images, which diminishes the value of those discussions for everyone. Because of these factors, I’m generally not in favor of using third-party image hosting services. However, allowing unlimited uncompressed image uploads on our servers isn’t feasible either. That is why I recommend resizing them at https://picresize.com/ If you're running into size restrictions. It can reduce the filesize with minimal impacts image quality - for free. You can download it and then post it here.
