  3. Besides catching bugs in your teeth, how many bass have you caught at 75 mph? WRB He caught several, over 15 lbs trolling a #13 Rapala :

The youtube video was not the concert I was at. It was awesome night though lol. Things I saw cannot be told on here. ;D Jumped in the Jello Jacuzzi with the 2 girls in plaid shirts, did we?
  6. Yes I would and I will be waiting in the weeds , watching for a good price reduction. I agree with Avid at that time the Japanese cars were so much better. I have since owned a Jeep and now I have a 93 S 10 both around the 200k mark. I believe those past issues have been solved for the most part If GM condenses as Chrysler just did, it means parts and service will still be available. And like Chris stated, when I actually go out for a newer/used means of transportation , what ever resonablly priced car/small truck fits my niche I am in
  7. QUOTE: Keep in mind that the strike window is reduce at night, the lure needs to be close to the bass. A fast moving lure outside of the strike window, more than likely the bass will not chase down. WRB This is a blanket statement, and not 100 % true throughout all bait selections and where in the water coloumn you are fishing . I too have switched to fishing mostly at night. This statement is definitely true when i am throwing jigs and plastics, in deeper water , and off cover . I can testify however over the last 2 seasons that , bass will chase down a good wake type bait, Jitterbug and large single colorado bait for some distance , moving along the top of the water at a good clip and with reckless abandon at night. This is true for 3 bodies of water I fish, regularly at night and with good catches.
  8. PHD's that teach college have as much schooling and debt as any doctor. They serve a needed and valued place in society, teaching some of those same doctors, so why should they make so much less? I don't buy that argument. The doctor is an adult,he or she made a choice , they went to school and they will break more than even . As for the things they can do no one else can How many doctors crawl int o a burning building and pull folks out for 60 g's a year? How many doctors would put themselves between you and a bullet for military pay How many doctors will take part in a high speed chase and got shot at to catch a few felons, for police pay I have no disrespect for doctors and do not diminish their importance in society. There are however equally important jobs, that keep us all healthy and safe, so I don't buy the part about doctors being worth all that much more because they save lives If all those other mooks didn't intervene in the first place, putting themselves in danger the doctors would have a lot less patients to save
  9. That deseves this
  10. Hey Marty; The reverse could also be true. Thats exactly what i thought when I bought the Medalist, great reel, but not better than my President I could have saved the 40 bucks and been just as pleased.
  11. What next? Glenn gonna post some pedicure coupons for members only?

  14. I am suggesting to the Mods that BassResource.com have one of these each year in addition to the road trip For the fellas who actually own all the equipment they say they do and actually catch the fish they say they you, and have the jobs you say you do:::::::you are all disqualified For those secret agent pHD's around here who catch all these undocumented fish and have all this equipment that no one else gets to see THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU Here is how it works Everyone meets at the hotel check in and get your registration fish for 3 days no one can know if you even have a boat or where it is all contestants take off from secret places no cameras, witnesses or documentation of any type allowed the guy with the best story ( aka line of bs) at the end of each day wins! Grand prize for the biggest heap of BS over the 3 days THE WALTER MITTY TROPHY , a bust of James Thurber who wrote the original story! ;D :
  15. Since you asked about the Trions I can tell you It is the only baitcasrter I use. I have bought 6 of them total, I kept 4 and gave away 2. I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THESE REELS >>>NADA! I bought all but one used for 45 bucks right here on the flea market. Sharbite got a couple off Ebay , used and now .ghotti. has to fix them as they had some damaged parts The one new one I bought has needed nothing but cleaning and lubes, I use my reels for at least 100 trips a year so I would say they get a decent amount of use.
  16. I used a Medalist for 2 years, I didnt see advantage over the President. I know the President has the dreaded graphite body;BI DEAL I never lost a fishi because of it and we had one of our tiny friends try to torque the stem off of one moutned on a rod and in a vice, couldn t do it case closed mook for me! Faster Ratio could me something, depends on the inches of line retrieved per turn of the handle, I didt see any big difference THE PRESIDENT XT IS THE SLATWATER VERSION OF THE PRESIDENT, as least according to Pflueger the people who make them and not the Medalist Here are the specs of all 3 from their catatlog: Medalist: Medalist Spinning Reels 9 stainless steel ball bearings, with pinion and main gear bearings fully sealed One-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing Smooth sealed front drag system Rugged aluminum body and anodized aluminum spool Anti-twist titanium line roller Sure-ClickTM bail Machined aluminum handle with soft touch knob Spare aluminum spool On/Off anti-reverse Power knob available on 70 & 80 size (NEW) 7025 115 yards / 4 Lb. 5.2:1 10.0 oz Left & Right Ultralight Freshwater / Ultralight Saltwater (NEW) 7030 115 yards / 6 Lb. 5.2:1 11.0 oz Left & Right Light Freshwater / Ultralight Saltwater (NEW) 7035 145 yards / 8 Lb. 5.2:1 12.6 oz Left & Right Medium Light Freshwater / Ultralight Saltwater (NEW) 7040 195 yards / 10 Lb. 5.2:1 13.2 oz Left & Right Medium Freshwater / Light Saltwater (NEW) 7050 220 yards / 14 Lb. 4.6:1 18.0 oz Left & Right Medium Heavy Freshwater / Medium Light Saltwater (NEW) 7060 230 yards / 17 Lb. 4.6:1 20.0 oz Left & Right Heavy Freshwater / Medium Saltwater 6070 240 yards / 20 Lb. 5.3:1 26.0 oz Left & Right Medium Heavy Saltwater 6080 240 yards / 25 Lb. 4.3:1 27.2 oz Left & Right Heavy Saltwater The PRESIDENT: President Spinning Reels 9 stainless steel ball bearings (6720 has 7 ball bearings) Double-shielded ball bearings in key locations Instant anti-reverse one-way clutch bearing Anodized aluminum spool with distinctive hole pattern for lighter weight Titanium spool lip for added line protection Large diameter titanium ball bearing line roller Smooth front drag system with stainless steel and oiled felt washers and audible drag adjustment Sure-ClickTM Bail Corrosion-resistant stainless steel main shaft and components Machined aluminum handle with rosewood knob Spare aluminum spool included Soft touch knob available on 50 and 60 size 6720 105 yards / 4 Lb. 5.2:1 6.4 oz Left & Right Ultralight Freshwater 6725 115 yards / 4 Lb. 5.2:1 7.7 oz Left & Right Ultralight Freshwater 6730 115 yards / 6 Lb. 5.2:1 9.1 oz Left & Right Light Freshwater 6735 145 yards / 8 Lb. 5.2:1 11.2 oz Left & Right Medium Light Freshwater 6740 195 yards / 10 Lb. 5.2:1 12.3 oz Left & Right Medium Freshwater 6750 220 yards / 14 Lb. 4.6:1 18.7 oz Left & Right Medium Heavy Freshwater / Medium Light Saltwater 6760 230 yards / 17 Lb. 4.6:1 20.9 oz Left & Right Heavy Freshwater / Medium Saltwater >Home >Products >Spinning Reels >President XT Spinning Reel President XT Spinning Reel 9 stainless steel ball bearings One-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing Lightweight aluminum construction, provides the strength of an all aluminum body without the weight Anodized aluminum spool with distinctive hole pattern for lighter weight Large diameter titanium coated line roller Sure-ClickTM Bail Corrosion-resistant stainless steel shaft and components Machined aluminum handle with soft touch knob Spare aluminum spool On / Off anti-reverse 6725XT (NEW) 115 yards / 4 Lb. 5.2:1 7.5 oz Left & Right Ultralight Freshwater / Ultralight Saltwater 6730XT (NEW) 115 yards / 6 Lb. 5.2:1 9.0 oz Left & Right Light Freshwater / Ultralight Saltwater 6740XT (NEW) 195 yards / 10 Lb. 5.2:1 12.6 oz Left & Right Medium Freshwater / Light Saltwater 6750XT (NEW) 220 yards / 14 Lb. 4.6:1 19.6 oz Left & Right Medium Heavy Freshwater / Medium Light Saltwater 6760XT (NEW) 230 yards / 17 Lb. 4.6:1 20.9 oz Right Heavy Freshwater / Medium Saltwater According to a Pfl;ueger rep at Cabelas one day the XT has more corroisn resistant construction. Only the big water Presidents have Salt Water applications and as you can see the Whole PRESIDENT XT line up is reccomended for salt water use. I hope this helps you out The Medalist and President are 2 different lines, always have been. I have not used the XT as of yet, I have one fro fishing for snappers off the piers in Brooklyn this year, I will post a review of it when I do. The Medalist is a fine reel, I just am happy with the Trion and President line and their graphite bodies and rosewood handles have never been an issue after years of very hard fishing.
  17. I have taken these steps and I can honestly say his LMB is the record I downloaded the picture I used an Exatco Knife and cut the Bass out of the picture I went to a lab with a certified scale we weighed the picture the picture wieghed 22.4 lbs Now no more threads about this>>>>PLEASE!!!!!!
  18. Hey LAO, please post a review. I tried the Mag Touch rods in the store, I really liked them I did not get one as I was afraid of wet hands and a flying rod. without any grip to speak of. Thats probally unrealistic, but I am staying pat with the Fish Eagle II's
  19. Absolutely sir, I never , never ever will talk about something I have never used. RW gave me a Stradic, which is considerably more than the Presidents and Trions I use. It was a good reel, no better than my President, I don't see why I should get all excited about it. My fishing partner has a She Man O and loves it and also has a President. There are a lot of opinions here. I give you my word I always post from experience. There are many here who have fished with me and know what I use I also anwered with the fella asked and did not try to steer him to another product , which happens way too much around here.
  20. Hey Jeff: I waited for them in Cabelas Bargain Basement, when they upgraded ( they changed the handles0 I got all my Fish Eagle II for 30 bucks, and I had them sent to the Cabelas near me and did not pay shipping. Man I am cheap!!!!!!! ;D
  21. All I own are Pflueger reels, and the Presidents have treated me well as have the Trions I have not used this newer model, and I am buying one fore fishing Salt Water as their catalog says this model has the right kind of bearings ( Corrosion resistant) for this application Someone always has to pump a SHe Man O, and those mooks have their own board here, some kind of Dr Phil Support group or something
  22. What and how many tournys have you won with them, and what is your definition of a lot of money?
  23. Just ask the guy with the biggest bass posted here, he is the expert on big bass. :
  24. With all the rods you have posted, they are so fine and expensive, why would you need to protect them. I am glad I have cheap rods, so I can fish and not worry about them breaking.Funny thing is they don't break! ;D
  25. Hey Fellas; They were smacking trick sticks and small jigs with reckless abandon today. Then it got windy enough for white caps and i had to hug the shore all the way back, took 2 hours as it was not safe to sit on my spot in my small Tinny :-/
