It's not jail that doesn't work. It's letting repeat offenders out of jail that doesn't work.

I agree that this is troubling. If you commit a crime, then you go to jail. If you are a repeat felon then you go to jail and die there. Altering behavior through forced drugging sounds creepy. The libertarian in me, gets riled over stuff like this.

what are the odds? 1. that the researcher was attacked and his wife murdered by the experimentee? 2. that a street punk aka "droog" played by Malcom McDowel would actually know and love Beethoven? Outstanding film. Based on a book of the same name that is still a fine read.

I think the show is an excellent study in the decay of American Culture.

  8. I knew carrying those extra pounds was good for me. http://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUSTRE55N0C720090624
  9. Horny toads are great baits for florida LMB. I always carry them and have caught more nice sized bass on this bait in weedy conditions than any other lure. My trick to keeping the frog from turning over is to pinch a 1/32 or 1/16th oz weight to the line about 2 inches from the nose of the toad. It helps to get the bait on plane faster too. Don't forget the basics though. If it ain't rigged real straight it ain't gonna run straight.
  10. You may be talking about the Okeechobee rig. It's meant for pitching and flipping to thick weeds like we have down here Florida way. It supposed to fish cleaner. Notice the weight has the loop to secure it to the hook.
  11. Owner all the way baby
  12. I'm going fishing no matter what the report says, but they are always fun to read and sometimes downright informative.

  17. 96 on the treasure coast yesterday, supposed to cool down a little tuesday. sure do hope so. funny but no matter how hot it gets, the bass don't seem to mind. I haven't been out in a couple of weeks but I'm hearing some impressive reports.
  18. Next will have bass that will jump in your boat when you whistle.

Quentin Tarrantino hasn't made a movie I didn't like. They are always gory and realism may not be it's strong point but if you like entertainment from the dark side then his films are hard to beat.
  20. Port St. Lucie here. I don't usually post in this forum, BassResource isn't so big that I feel lost in the general sections. But I'm glad I checked in here today. There are probably as many active posters from Florida as there are any other state.
  21. Ok, Maybe you don't know bass habits and baits as well as you think. Why not try and forget everything you think you know, and start with the basics. You picked a good place to learn.
  22. I voted no, only because they didn't have "hell No" or "Ewwwwwwwwwwww" as choices. I do stick my nose inside the mouth and sniff once in awhile. Not as romantic as a kiss, I admit, but welll y' know. :-X
  23. We can't expect to lower our dependence on Foreign oil without going through some changes. This one seems pretty doable, so long as they phase it in.
  24. ditto for central fla. water down 4 feet in my home lake. We had some good rain late may / early june, but that was then and this is now. bad...not to mention a heat wave that's putting temps up near 100 degrees. Shoooo doggie it be "pass me a cold one Martha" time here on the treasure coast.
  25. kill him and eat him. Please.
