High dollar reels catch more fish?
No!

Fluorocarbon Coated Line vs. flourocarbon
I use the 8lb CX Premium on my Crappie rigs, and it's a very manageable line with good knot strength. I think RW tried some 15lb on his rigs....he might have an opinion for you.

Flurocarbon prodicament
I bought 2000yd spools of Berkley 100% for around $100 (I paid $115 for the more expensive 17lb). I purchased them from 'Brody of the Lake' on Ebay, whom sells Elite Series anglers 'extra' stuff. I messaged Brody on ebay curious about what pro's line I was buying, and found out it was Skeet Reese's. Extra mojo...free of charge!

Need help finding an old ZOOM color
The color is sort of violet in color . "You're turning Violet, Violet." - willy wonka and the chocolate factory

Icast 2009?
And to think I just had my reusable shopping bag monogrammed 'ICAST 2009 or Bust'!

Sweet Beavers
The Sweet Beaver is genius; it's the most copied bait since the Senko. When I first saw it, I was like...what's that supposed to represent. Then it just clicked. When a craw 'shoots'....it's claws come together to form a spade shape. I just can't believe no one thought of it before. Currently I have Bass Assassin hand poured beavers, Berkley Beasts, Lake Fork Tackle Flippers, and Big Bite 'Yo Mama's'. The Reaction Innovations Beaver just catches more fish for me. They are so effective, I think any color will work. My favorite is the Double Wide 5.20 Beaver in Big Texan. I throw the 5.2 size the most. I also use the Beaver as a jig trailer as much as I use Paca Chunks. Throw'em on a jig...deadly.

Icast 2009?
No...the Core is the Chronarch 100mg. They just put a cooler name on it. The Mg50/Aldebaran is a smaller reel. So instead of the Chronarch 100mg and Chronarch 50mg we had a year or so ago....we will have the Core and Mg50.

Icast 2009?
Shimano is also said to be releasing a new high-end rod....placed on notch above the Cumara line.

Icast 2009?
Mg50 will be released at ICAST...google Shimano Aldebaran for pics (it's jdm cousin. Daiwa is rumored to be releasing a new Daiwa Fuego casting reel made of the new Zaion material. Should be super light weight....this is the one I'm watching.

P-Line CXX Memory
Conditioner will help, but I find that the spool 'memory' of any line lasts just a few casts. Water absorbtion and the tension of working baits works it out. The only exception would be really thick line, which is just harder to work with no matter what you do. CXX is tame until you hit the 17lb mark. There is quite a leap in manageability between the 15 and 17lb tests. That said....CXX isn't a wine cooler....it's Wild Turkey straight up in a dirty highball

Can't believe I'm saying this but...
I think I will stick to my BBZ-1 Shads and my Sebile Magic Swimmers. I'd be interested to see how it swims; it has over twice as many moving sections as BBZ or Sebile.

Awsome deal!
That's Bad Arse! TD-Z's are legit.....

Lucky Craft Redemption Spinnerbaits
Even with all the expensive cranbaits I own....I still won't shell out for a $15 spinnerbait. The head looks nice, but unlike cranks....all blades pretty much spin the same.

Xcalibur xr50
Ghost Minnow (I think it's called Melon something in the XR line). If you water is clear to light stained....that will produce. I either burn mine, or use a hard pull/reel up the slack/hard pull retrieve.

bucoo vs Carrot Stix
I heard the Bucoo is using the 'Falcon Original' blank. If that's the case (which makes sense considering the price point)....I'd go with the Carrot, even with the unfavorable guides.

Copolymer for heavy cover
I love CXX as well. However, you chose 'low memory' as a property you desire. The CXX users have pretty much come to terms with the fact CXX is a no-nonsense line that is unforgiving. That said....CX Premium is CXX's half-brother. It is fluorocarbon coated, yet has incredible knot strength....something fluoroclear can't boast. I think you would be impressed with 20lb CX Premium for pitchin'/flippin'. Don't be scared of the 20lb; CX is rated true to test like the Japanese lines (granted Pline comes from Japan) and is thinner than 14lb Trilene XT. 20lb CX Premium is equivalent in strength to 15lb CXX, and won't let you down. Hope that helps.....

What's your favorite crankbait?
Lucky Craft Moonsault cb-100 (ghost minnow for clear water; chartreuse shad for stained) Lucky Craft BDS 1 (ghost minnow and ghost sunfish for clearer water; rootbeer for stained) Zoom WEC Sand Flea (KO'd a few chunks on it tonight a matter-of-fact) I prefer bone shad or any shad bait really. I love my Zoom Wobblers, Z-flats, sweet pea's, and stumpy's, but my sand flea has been the top 'Zoom' producer this year. It has a tight erratic action that catches anything in it's vicinity.

Bullet weights with Senkos
I peg a small weight at times....1/8th or 1/16. It darts around when you pop it. FYI, I go to a straight shank hook whenever I peg any type of sinker.

is fishing your "main" thing?
Definitely. I honestly couldn't afford another hobby if I wanted one. I've modified cars, raced RC cars, etc., and it is all expensive. Modding cars takes the cake though....super expensive.

Lizards help please.
The Yum Zellamander is the best lizard I've ever fished. I have about 200 packs of Wave Worm lizards, and they are a good standard lizard. Much like a zoom or any other brand of lizard. Even with my large stash of lizards...I've been buying the Zellamander. It has a long twin tail that is unlike other lizards, and gets more bites. Dark grasshopper is the best color bar none.

Daiwa zillion
The medium/X-fast Zillion is the rod that most anglers would pick if they handled the entire line. Stout for a medium, but not more than your average medium heavy. Very light and crisp. It's the medium-heavy models on up that start getting to be pool cues.

Super, giant, jumbo plastic worm like 2 1/2 feet long?
They have them at my local bass pro....they are meant to be a novelty, but you could fish with it I guess.

I thought you got better with more experience.
Rolo- Roland Martin has my vote for the greatest angler of all time. He absolutely dominated!

;D Uh huh... : Give the those guys the same kind of training along with advancements in sports medicine that's available now and they'd wipe the butts of most teams out there now. Great athletes are great athletes, the only difference is the time and era they were great in. No Way....men are significantly larger than they were 30 years ago. The largest guy on the '75 Steelers line was 275lbs. That would be considered a featherweight in todays standards, where lines average well over 300lbs. The average height and weight of man has increased since then. Bigger guys, better plays, more black atheletes, etc. Much larger pool to pluck athletes from as well. I'm not sure how many guys were playing football in the '70s, but I bet the number has drastically raised since then.

Who said only 'young' anglers were winning? I'm not sure where you are getting that. You listed only one angler that was a big name in the BASS Invitationals of the '80s. I'm talking about dominant pro's of the '80s.....why aren't they dominant anymore. That is what my thread states. As far as why, it's only speculation....I'm just throwing stuff out there. There are tons of new techniques though....fishing chatterbaits, mainstream use of swimbaits, swimming paddletail tubes, 'flick shake' fishing, etc. As far as bass fishing changing...I wouldn't even know where to start. Bass fishing is constantly evolving; I can't imagine anyone would think otherwise.
