  1. Core 50 Cumara 7'2" M Seguar 10lb flouro
  2. I've reeled in fish, only to get them to the boat to see another LMB that could "eat" the fish i had hooked, so my vote is no.

Has anyone else read about this new lure from Tackleworks? There is a write up about it in the latest Bassmaster magazine. Better mouse trap? Thoughts?
  4. I like Robo worms, killer action when nose hooked.
  5. NO. However, 99% of my LMB fishing is with artificals. My fishing buddy and I fish a local pond and frequently use live bait i.e. nightcrawlers, perch, and catch 5-7 lb fish on a regular basis. However, my PB has come off a Lucky Craft G-Splash, Doesn't really matter because I put them ALL back to fight another day.
  6. Thanks for the write up, great info! You need to send one of those pics to BASS Masters magazine "lunker photos" if you haven't already.
  7. G Loomis drop shot rod $130.
  8. She looks like a fatty! Nice catch, congrats on the PB!
  9. Flat fish, orange with black spots. First memory I have of a fishing lure. It was in my dad's taclke box, never forget it!
  10. With the luck I've had lately, It would be very odd to see my hook in ones mouth! I have actually caught a bass that had my Texas rigged worm stuck in it's mouth, that I had broken off 30 minutes earlier.
  11. Great reel for the money IMO. I use them for jigs (E7) to crankbaits (E5) and everything in between.
  12. I use 17# flouro for my jig fishing, the majority of my fishing occurs in clear water. Never had a line problem, and I pitch docks a lot.
  13. From what I've read, members on the forum have been very pleased with "reel mechanic's" work.
  14. Shimano Stradic CI4 2500 Shimano Cumara CUS-72M Seaguar 8lb flouro You can feel a mouse fart on it!
  15. I agree with the structure theory. My personal best (12.12lb) came off structure with a LC G-splash in September. I might have twitched it 2 or 3 times before she engulfed it, My buddy lipped her at he shore and we threw her back to fight another day.
  16. That fish is all belly! Nice catch, I fought the wind all day, and the wind won!
  17. 701L x-fast spinning rod for my drop shotting. I actually like this one better than my G Loomis!
  18. Don't even try and fight it. It's like crack, except more expensive!

Jmac, I agree that your sunglasses are an important tool when fishing. They will allow you to see structure that otherwise, you would have no idea is there. Can't count the times I've spotted that "lone stump", pitched to it, and stuck one. That being said, I have Costa Del Mar, amber lens, love em!
  20. Thanks Glenn. Looks like you guys had fun, that's what fishing is all aobut in the end amyway!
  21. My go to drop shot hook is a Gamakatsu offset shank/worm egw in size 4, stock # 58308. The Gander Mtn here can't keep those things in stock. They always hook up really nice for me with little effort. Be careful trying out the drop shotting, it's VERY addictive! Good luck.
  22. I will offer my humble opinion, I have several Curodo E's, great reel for the price. I can't speak on the Chronach as I do not own one, however, I fish with a buddy who owns one and they are nice, smoothe, lightweight reels. Really depends on how much coin you are willing to let go of. That being said, I've thrown many light plastics with my E series. Hope this helps, sure others will chime in.
  23. I took delivery of my Megastrike order on Monday. I had ordered one of the new spinnerbaits, in the shad color, and was able to fish it that night. Caught 2 decent LM on it. The blades look nice in the water and my fishing partner had even made note of how he liked the different looking blade. You can really feel the added vibration in the bait thru the rod tip, so you know it's really stirrring it up underwater. It worked for me, will test it more in a tourney this weekend. BTW, that was the first time I had ordered from Megastrike, great customer service!
