  1. Have both, I use the 100 on my jig rod and the 50 for texas rigs and smaller creature type baits. I find both great for pitching or casting. Stick it on a light rod and you can fish it all day, feels like air in your hands.
  2. Hey, thanks for the input guys.
  3. Yep, meant to say "costing" me bites, fixed it. Thanks for your reply.
  4. I've always enjoyed dipping when I fish, obviously we all know the stuff has an odor. I always try and wipe my hands before slipping a soft plastic on the hook. I've read that nicotine have negative effects on bass. So, what do you think, is dipping costing me bites? Maybe I'm being a bit over cautious, but every bite counts on tournament day. By the way, I always use Megastrike or JJ's.
  5. I feel it's very reasonably priced given the amount of time and research he has put into it. Save yourself the headache and order it from JJ.
  6. Nice job Glenn, thanks for sharing.
  7. Yep, I got mine a few weeks back, but I ordered back in December.
  8. That's a nice tip Fishing Rhino! My favorites Zoom 4" finesse Berley Gulp Alive Strike King 4" finesse I've even been know to throw a sweet beaver on a shakey head rig I fish them all, except the Strike kings, on an Ikey head.

  10. Prayers sent for you and your family.
  11. I'd pay money to see that done with a Northern Pike!
  12. Great tips listed. I gotta pick up the C-rig this year and have just been motivated! C-rig is my kryptonite!
  13. I ordered one of the new Bio-pulse lures from Mystic Tackleworks. Looks to be a real quality product and can't wait to test this baby out in the field as soon as the "ice age" breaks up down here in Va. Anyway, I just wanted to applaud Matt and the terrific customer service I have received from him. I know we are quick to bash poor service, so I wanted to make sure credit is given where its due. I felt like I was dealing with the guy at my local tackle shop that I've known for years. I'll be sure and post when I actually get to hit the water with this thing!
  14. Detecting the jig bite.
  15. When I feel the bite, I just start reeling and gently sweep my rod away, just like I would for a crankbait bite, they usually hook themselves when I do that. I don't really find myself "setting the hook as I would a jig or T-rig bite. BTW, I'm no expert, I'm sure others will chime in.
  16. Great news, and just in time for spring fishing.
  17. I've used both clear and green, haven't really noticed much of a difference.
  18. I ordered Reel Mechanic's "guide to reel maintenance". Very user friendly even for someone like me. Well put together with pictures. Or, as already stated, many good threads on this forum to help you out.
  19. What's your price point?
  20. Evo Jig/Uncle Josh pork Spinnerbait Crankbait
  21. He sounds like Morgan Freeman more than Morgan Freeman. That would be such a cool way to pick up chicks, that is if they have seen Shawshank Redemption.
  22. That is just too cool, thanks for sharing!
  23. I feel your pain, snowed in here too! Just ordered me a bunch of Lumiflex skirts.
