what the most you've spent on one single lure?
I voted $25 but now I'm thinkin it may have been just over $30 on a musky lure. For a bass lure, it would be in the $15-20 range on a Lucky Craft Sammy (that I ended up giving to a friemd).

I guess I'll do it....How 'bout them Cowboys!!
I'm a die hard Cowboys fans and would love to see them win ever game every year but I know that's hard to do! Besides, division games can go either way. Flip a coin to figure out who's going to win them! Heck look what happened many moons back when the deadskins won the superbowl and Dallas went 1-15 (tell me that wasn't a rough year) but the one win was against the skins! Like Burley said, we'll be ready for them in DC!

Hello all nice to meet ya
Congrats on getting the boat! It's been YEARS since I've fished Raystown! Are you from PA? If so, where? I'm originally from PA but I hopped across the Mason Dixon line almost 16 years ago. Good luck with your outing and let us know how you do!

Rods for around $50 to $60
I'll add this one to the mix. Quantum Alliance for $59.99. While I haven't handled an Alliance in the bass series yet, I have in the musky rods and like it. As low_pro mentioned, the Bionic Blade would have been the other one I would have suggested (again, when they are on sale).

Energy PT Drag Issue
my mistake! I completely missed the buying it used! Ghoti is right, if you don't feel comfortable tearing it apart yourself, send it the Reel Mechanic! I've also had him service a reel that I couldn't fix myself. Class act he is!!!!

Private vs. Public Lakes
I am fortunate enough to get invited to a couple of the private small ponds that my fishing partner has access to from time to time. There are some HUGE bass in these ponds (for MD) and my partner has caught a few of them in the 7-10lb range. I haven't caught one over 5 1/2. My PB largemouth has come from public pond. If your private pond has very little to no fishing pressure and you hit the pond during the peak time of the month, I could see where you'd probably clean house on them with just about any lure. My question to you is do you do this on a regular basis or was this just a one time weekend that you fished it and had experienced this?

jig as drop shot weight?
Sadly, I've only used this set up once on a small private pond. I say sadly because it did work out for me that day (just not sure why I haven't used it since) and I actually had a bass on both baits. I was d-shotting a 4" white tube with a 1/2oz jig underneath. The one on the tubes was barely a keeper but the one on the jig was definitely a better bass. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the one on the jig because it wrapped me around a post of the dock I was fishing on and I couldn't get her unwrapped. Guess I'll be breaking that rig back out! Thanks for reminding me about it!!!

Energy PT Drag Issue
Welcome to the boards! Since you just got the real, it should still be under warranty, I would either take it back and exchange it or send it to Quantum for a warranty repair. I have two Energy PT's and haven't had a problem with mine.

KVD's Proven Spinnerbait Techniques dvd
Once you've watched the KVD Proven Spinnerbait Techniques a few 100 times, do yourself a favor and pick up his Advanced Spinnerbait Tactics DVD! There's a lot of good information there too! As far as putting a fishing video in to go to sleep..... I can't do that! I gotta stay up so I don't miss anything! LOL

small mouth lures?
Tubes, bucktail jigs, small cranks and jerkbaits would be my suggestion. I'm pretty sure we have a few James river anglers that could give you more specific options. Good luck with the tourney!

Safe pike handling?
Welcome to the boards swilly78! For the smaller toothy critters, that hold will work. Once you get much bigger than that, holding them by the gill plate and under the belly works better, IMO!

47" musky this weekend
No, there's two of us. I actually landed my first musky on a bucktail this year, so I hadn't had much confidence in them before. I'll be adding more at some point and I'm sure I'll have a few Cowgirls on my list!

Single or Double Blade Buzzbaits?
I have been using double bladed buzzbaits for at least 10 years now. The first double bladed buzzbait that I used is Hart's Hartbeater. Great buzzbait, IMO! Strike King's Double Take buzzbait is the best alternative I have found to the Hartbeater.

pokomoke river,maryland
Just Google Mapped it cause I wasn't sure myself. It's about as far east as you can go without being total salt water (guessing this is going to be brackish water) and south of Salisbury. Sorry I can't help you out on this one! I don't get over the that part of the state. :-/ Hopefully, someone else may be able to help you out!

Rebel's Buzz-n-Frog
You mean like the ones on this page? http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=5115 My guess, you'd be better off spending your money here. I've never used them but was curious if they were still in production.
