Will a Jon boat hold up out there? Im thinking of buying one and am wondering if i shoud do so before / after the trip seeing how the rental is about the same price as the one im looking at .

Although if you owned your own tackle shop you could (Assuming you were busy) Hire help so they cant fish and you can Or put a pond out front and fish it good marketing if you use your lures.

Thanks - Check out Spro's i dont know a website but they make a Bluegill as well and the Shad looks AWSOME sucks i lost mine on the first cast - they are also half the price.

Are these things = to a jon boat? They seem to cost about the same (Jon being 200 more or so ) but are made of air rather than metal... being a mechanic ill stick with metal

It seemed to work for me Slowly the arms moved when jerked Vertically but not so much horizontal . Although rigt now is cold out so i am doing more Vertical work that Horizontal seems to get the best reaction .. Still no fish this year though ... And 15 days in ... Im hurtin.

I bough a SPRO BBZ-1 Shad for 25 Bucks and lost it on the first cast (read Wiley 1-12-09) It sucked but its somthing you deal with My old fishin buddy said if your not loosing lures your not gaining fish Which doesnt make sence to me but in the long run YOU WILL LOOSE stuff. I just restock - it gives me an excuse to go to BPS.

Another jig trailor i herd was good is the Flapin Hog II I just got a pack in 194 (I think Green pumpkin somthing) havnt tryed it but gona give it a shot this weeken on wiley will make new topic soon.

Im using the Kreature for jigs like the pix above works great but seems pretty Bulky and sinks pretty fast. GYCB makes some great baits tho the 5in Senko's in Watermellon is great on a Trig

Do they reach 20 ft though I tryed one but it didnt seem to dive that deep so it put it in my box and it has sat there for weeks now.

I started a thread a month ago about lures everyone should have in their box / bag as to see just what many of you are using or swear by. Now im gona fine tune it a bit ... ID like to see what everyone uses in COLD water. please explain why it makes a good coldwater lure or why you think its better than somthing someone else is using. Just an intersting topic I thought - maybe it would help some of us out who havn't gotten a Bass this Winter.

I got the Sexy Shad KVD kit that BPS sells My girl did the math and figured it was the best buy. I tryed it out on wiley this weekend and didnt catch a thing just lost 2 of them so im going to restock them although i dont know how well they work yet. I can tell you its a better buy if you like the SS KVD to buy the kit box that BPS has for 62.74 (With tax looking at my reciept) it saved me over 23 and change.

I bank fish until i find someone who owns a boat or my piggy bank explodes. I hit Wiley up quite a bit but durring the weekdays ill go to Meck community parks and ponds. Buddy of mine is supposed to go in halfs on a boat rental this weekend on wiley pm if ya wanta go
