  1. I was a journeyman refrigeration mechanic for 15 years until I crippled myself. I'm very much aware of what he is dealing with. I don't mind giving technical support, putting together controls, drawing wiring diagrams etc. when I have time. My frustration is I have other things going on. I man the store alone and can't just drop everything. I could have 1/2 a dozen guys at the counter and another 1/2 dozen calls on hold. He called me late Friday afternoon for the wiring diagrams which is the slowest time of the week for me. That's why I had a chance to BS with him about fishing.
  2. Happy endings are good...
  3. Deep fried Great Lakes perch is by far my favorite freshwater fish to eat. Blackened mahi mahi for saltwater. I eat a lot of panfish, walleye, and bass but only from certain lakes. I'll usually stock up the freezer in spring and fall when the water is still cold.
  4. He has a Ranger 620 that he just repowered. He has a friend who's in the market for a Lund so maybe....
  5. Kind of a boring story but I think it holds some merit. Some background. I'm a manager of a commercial/industrial hvac/r supply house. There is some carryover into the residential hvac end, but not much. A residential tech ordered some commercial controls from a sister branch based on recommendations from Honeywell, to pick up at my location. Fast forward, Honeywell gave him the incorrect information and now this entire clusterf... has my name on it. I sold him the correct controls which were considerably cheaper for the antiquated system he has been working on. He's been calling everyday trying to figure out how to get the new controls to work with obsolete controls. I've been extremely frustrated. Not with him necessarily, but I have a lot of other things going on and can't dedicate my job to fixing his mess. He calls this afternoon looking for some wiring diagrams for his obsolete controls. I was able to find some info and I asked for his email address. It was ifish.....@..... So I had to ask. He's a tournament walleye fisherman. We talked for 1/2 hour about boats and fishing. He went from a Lund to a Ranger yadda yadda yadda and he says Tritons suck and maybe I should look into a Skeeter if I don't get a Ranger or a Robalo Guess my thing is there is common ground no matter what side you're on Small world

  7. If its anything like my Toyota, the arm was aluminum and the gear is steel. The gear stripped out the teeth on the arm. It was an easy fix replacing the arm.

  11. Figures.... Really, don't fret about it. I was involved in a Fishmas swap some years ago and I didn't get my gift until, I think, February. It ended up being some limited edition bottle of wine which we drank in one night LOL

  18. My brother-in-law's screen name is VivianC. We used to be in a weekly football pool. A buddy's dad was in the pool as well. My buddy's dad wanted to meet VivianC because he thought any woman who was so into football was someone he could spend the rest of his life with.
