  1. Gone are the days when you could change a belt on the car with a wrench and a 2x4
  2. I'll do my own beta testing next spring with deep fried perch roe.
  3. I guess they'll be one Ménage à trois
  4. Parts will be available. If there's a warranty question, I would pass.
  5. Saving them for Thanksgiving. A customer of mine asked about my last name. My ancestry is Italian on my mothers side and Bohemian on my fathers side. This customer is Czech which is Bohemian and immigrated here from the Czech Republic. My father is 3rd generation in the good ol' USA. I helped my customer get some things figured out and he tipped me with beer from the "Old country". Dad is looking forward to having a couple.
  6. Looks like a coon cat. This is ours. Weighs in at 25lbs which is 3x the size of the average housecat.
  7. Still have 2 weeks my friend. What's the rush? slonesteady wins the race
  8. Ive seen some really good videos with crappies in flooded trees in deep impoundments. For example trees are in 30fow and crappies are schooling 15ft down. Thats a huge advantage.
  9. When I look at the livescope videos on youtube, they are intriguing. Is it a technology for bass fishing??? I'm not so sure. Mind you, I'm all for having great electronics, but... I've also scrolled back on bass fishing and have been doing a lot of multi species fishing for the last few years. If you are a shallow water fisherman, you'd be wasting your money. Livescope doesn't work for frogs on mats or punching cover. It won't work for beds. Unless I'm deep water fishing, I see no advantage. I will be new boat shopping next year, knock on wood. Electronics play a big part in things as far as financing.
  10. $1500 for a transducer.... I have old SI technology. 1198/1199 with no other bells and whistles. The Garmin livescope images look interesting. I don't have HB 360, but IMO, for my kind of fishing, I think I would prefer that over the "live" imaging. The sad thing is, as much as I like side imaging, I prefer 2D. Guess I'm just old. I grew up in the days of paper graphs.
  11. Lucky jig which I haven't thrown in some time.
  12. My brother in law does a deep fried and a smoked turkey every year. I like them both but you can't beat the flavor of the deep fried turkey skin.
  13. I'll get the call around 9am on Saturday. "Where are you?" "I'm fishing" and if she starts talking, the easiest way to get her to stop is to say "Oh d**n I lost it!!!" "Well, just call me when you're on the way home."
  14. Never even took the rod out of the suitcase.
  15. I had no skin in the game but seeing you are from MI, well yeah...
  16. I only tasted it. I dropped it off by dad and we sat and watched the Indiana/Michigan State game and I left. Dad just called and said it was fantastic. I said you don't need to blow smoke up I disagree. He said he really loved the flavor the wood gave to it.
  17. It turned out pretty good for my first go at it. I made it greek style Over cooked. Calamari only needs to cook for a minute or two.
  18. You need a little culture in your life RW. Being from Chicago, I've eaten some of the best food found around the world.
  19. Since the tides seem to be turning back to.... How about some baby octopus? Dad had surgery and I've been cooking for him. Last week he said he had a taste for some grilled octopus. The deli's didn't have any so I figured I'd give it a go.
  20. My PB was caught around 8am but I have caught the bulk of my big fish mid day.
  21. I guess a Happy Friday the 13th is in order
