My laptop took a crap. I lost 1/3 of the screen. Is there anything special I need to know about backing up files on an external drive to transfer them to a new computer? Picking up the new laptop tomorrow. Going from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I should just be able to have Windows 7 do the automatic backup to a thumb drive or SD card and then upload the files in the new computer correct? Files are mostly pics and word documents. As far as Norton and Microsoft office, I just need to contact them and transfer the subscription to the new IP address? Anything else I'm missing?

I haven't fished that stretch of river in 6 years. It's plentiful with smallies. I bought a 14' Lund 2 years ago with the intention of fishing there again. Life has happened since then and the little Lund is in the garage at the house in Wisconsin Dells and my garage here in IL is full of my daughters crap.

Lake bubbles could be anything but, most likely decomposed organisms releasing gas. River bubbles are slack water and a great place to find fish.

You'll be very happy with the Lund product. As far as being able to afford it, that's something you need to decide on your own with a clear head. If you do buy it, the lifetime hull warranty from the original purchase is reduced to 10 years for the second owner and the paperwork must be completed thru a Lund dealer.

Might just need a longer anchor line. To keep you from drifting or dragging, I believe the length of the line should equal 3x the depth of the water.

Are you located near a beach? I hear, if you dig a hole in the sand, you will eventually reach China. You can then drop it down the hole and with any luck its rightful owner will stumble across it.

Off site storage solution? When I did more traveling, I stored them in Pelican cases. Not so much anymore.

I wonder if things would have been different were they traveling with the waves rather than fighting them. I know the boats are not designed for that type of weather and/or if they are capable of riding safely in a following sea.
