If you like Hank Sr, listen to Hank 3. Sounds like his grandfather with an updated twist on his country albums. Also does some heavy thrash with other bands. The heavy stuff http://youtu.be/ccKFxdG_d8s

I Think I Figured Out Why I Keep Getting Skunked.
Agreed LM bass is not a bad tasting fish. You should try it sometime. Part of the issue is their cultures(I don't know if that's the correct word) influence them to eat fish to survive. Not like they can go to the grocery store in Bucketville and pick up the fixings to make a ham sandwich or a frozen pizza. My next door neighbors are from Nigeria and they have friends that are Jamaican. They have no concept of why I throw back the fish I catch. They do not and probably will not ever understand. For them, back in the old country, fishing is not a sport, and was merely a way to survive. No I don't condone the behavior. That being said. I also believe if someone emmigrates to our country then it is their responsibility to follow our rules and to assimilate the "Americn" culture. I won't say anything else.

Mojo Bass
Picked up one at Cabelas bargain cave a couple years ago. Best 20 bucks I ever spent. Fenwick HMG series are comprable in price and I feel they are a nicer rod.

Where Do The Bass Go When....
They're still in the cover. Just a little dried out. The birds have pecked out their eyes and eaten the gills, but the fish are still there. Our rivers and lakes are low. Nothing like Texas though. Structure and cover are just that. There will be new/different structure and cover that the fish have adapted to.(key word "adapted") You just need to adapt. Find it. Fish gotta eat, cover or not.

Help....the Stress Is Killing Me
My 2 cents. From a guy who dropped out of high school, went back and got a diploma, could have had a free ride to college from my folks but instead, decided to have a kid at 20, who is now 21 and hasn't a clue what he wants to do with the rest of his life, drove a truck for years to pay the bills woke up one day and realized I WANT MORE. I now have more and still want even more and am working on that now. Get an education whether it be a community college or university, trade school or armed forces. Don't do nothing! Set a goal(what I keep telling my son) and figure out a plan to get from "now" to your set goal. If you're thinking about the metal business, while you're getting your education, get a job at a foundry or scrap yard and see if it's really what you want to do. It will be easier to change industries now than when you're 30 or 40. Develop a skill and strive to be better than everyone else in your field. You're not going to get rich quick. Enjoy what you do. Continue your education indefinatly Be able to sleep at night.

Which Trolling Motor To Go With?? Motorguide Or Minn Kota
I have only had MK. Great motors. FYI boatersworld.com has no tax and no shipping over $100. I purchased a MK IPilot a couple years ago and other stuff since. Never had any issues with them.

Bouncing Back?
Welcome to the club. Started out ranked 3rd out of 50 and ended up 14th out of 50. We qualified to go to the TOC at Guntersville next March but haven't decided if we're going. Never weighed in a limit but had a big bass in most of our bags(caught the biggest bass in the club this season). Worst thing about it all was we always did well during prefishing and during the crappiest weather conditions. Conditions that one would consider ideal we could never put it together. I never let it get me down. Life's too short and it's just fishing(plus I know I'll never make a living doing this). I have been doing this for 6 years and each year we(my son and I) win more money and finish with a higher ranking. Next year I'm planning on spending more time on the water and joining a 2nd club. Some of the guys I fish with are talking about getting together during the winter and talking spots and lures. Haven't decided if I will participate yet. Hate to be cliche but as Ike says "Never give up!"

Reputation
I don't have them either and that's where my lack of understanding of it's purpose derrives from. At least I'm excellent. That's something I can tell my grandkids someday."You know, back in the day, people from the four corners of the earth thought I was excellent."

Many of the trades get a bum rap from the general public. People assume that if you get your hands dirty to make a living you must be a moron. The technology in many types of mechanical fields has grown in leaps and bounds over the last 20 years. Everything is run with computers/ computer controls nowadays. "Morons" don't last or don't excel in these fields. If you owned a trucking company, you wouldn't hire morons to fix and maintain trucks that cost you 150k each. I'm a refrigeration mechanic. If you were a grocery store owner, Would you hire a moron to be responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars of food if the coolers/freezers broke down? We have shop guys who drive parts, clean coils, etc. That's how you get your foot in the door. One guy in particular always complains. He's been here 2 years and is only a driver, while 2 other guys clean coils and help out on jobs. The driver shows ZERO innitiative. Never offers to lend a hand, and is on the phone constantly. The other 2 guys are always willing to lend a hand. Asking questions and trying to learn. Most of all, they do what they're and they don't complain. They have drive and a willingness to excel. The driver believes he deserves to move up because he's been here longer.

Is it lack of good jobs, or lack of good talent to fill or create opportunities? In the trade I'm in there are alot of guys not working. The guys that are working, in many cases, have jobs because they have more to offer. To be competitive with the rest of the world is going to take more than just education. Many kids and adults lack any kind of drive. I believe that "drive" is either something you are born with, are taught at a very young age, or acombination of the two. Too many people do the bare minimum to get by. This kid has a ton of talent. The school should be encouraging him not retarding him.

Old Faithful
For largemouth, I have an old chrome and black rattletrap that is beat to spit and for smallmouth, a Berkley Frenzy in gold and black with half the paint missing.
