Drilling Into Fiberglass To Mount A Graph
Pick up a cobalt or titanium bit to drill thru the metal. Many metal bits are also "low speed" bits and drill better with the drill on low rather than hi speed.

Minn Kota Wireless Trolling Motor
By wireless do you mean the iPilot? The iPilot on the Powerdrive cannot work with the footpedal. On the Terrova the footpedal overrides the remote. I would imagine you can change out the guts to switch it back to the standard model.

I Know I Did The Right Thing As A Co-Angler
You did the right thing. Whenever there's money involved there will be people trying to cheat the system. Did you read the lame *** apology? I agree with grimlin. I believe the punishment for that guy shoving lead weights in the bass a couple years back was similar to what you're talking about.

Lowest Voltage For Trolling Motor Batteries?
Kinda confused on what your trying to accomplish. Charge the batteries fully after every outing and "top" off the charge monthly when not in use.

94 last Friday. Woke up to a balmy 51 degrees this morning. Summers over.- How Often Do You Bilge?
You have a leak somewhere.- Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Woke up to a quite nippley 51 degrees this morning a far cry from 94 last Friday. Put on my perch king flannel and headed out. My son broke tradition today and because of that he got skunked. We normally stop at Thorntons for a six pack of long johns and some energy drinks. Today he tells me he's trying to ween himself off the caffine and sugar. The fishing gods were not happy. Anyway, launched at 6:30. Water temps varied from 70-76 and N-NE blowing 15-20mph. We have fished south most of the year and decided to head north today to Channel Lake. Picked up the 2 fish in the pics in about an hour and a half with only one other bite to speak of. When the trolling motor was on 6 to keep us from blowing backwards we decided to move. Headed over to Catherine. No bass to speak of but saw alot of very spooky musky hanging out. Headed down to Spring Lake and Fox and couldn't buy another bite. Off the water before 1:00. If nothing else the cold windy weather kept the pleasure boaters away.- I Want To Write A Book
I'd write personal fishing stories. The good , the bad, and the ugly. I'd stay away from educational if you're not a pro or have good fishing credentials.- Chest Freezer Purchase
AJay, I'm a refrigeration mechanic. There's not much to the chest freezers. Not a whole lot to go wrong. Chances are the cmpressor is the only moving part. Most smaller systems like that dont even have a condenser motor to go bad, just a compressor and a thermostat. Look for the cubic feet you need at the best price.- May Have A Trim Problem Here...
Battery or a loose/dirty connection. Maybe the switch is going bad.- Wife Ruining Fishing
clayton, Get back in the kitchen where you belong. Seriously. You guys are young. She's probably stressed with the kids or whatever. Handle you business at home during the week. On the weekend tell her to pick a day. The other day is yours. When I hear "You go fishing every weekend." My answer is "Yes I do." I get one maybe two calls out on the water. "Hows the fishing?" and "When are you going to be home?" It took time but she knows being on the water is my serinity and not to bother me. Good luck.- How Does Your Club Do It?
You could always buy a boat. You as a nonboater needs to understand the investment involved in boat ownership and why someone would hesitate giving up the reigns, club rules or not. DVT suggested anther club that suits your needs. Personally I fish buddy tournaments with my son and wouldn't have it any other way. I can only blame us if we don't do well. We have a system and it works for us. There are some teams in the club that switch partners every season because they just can't seem to find someone they fish well with. There's a guy in my club who wants me to partner up with him next season(I would be the non boater). My son is all for this because he wants the front of the boat, can fish with a buddy of his, and would love to compete against me. I'd imagine a new partner every tournament has to be stressful on both the boater and non boater. That compounded with the fact you're competing against each other would drive me to either change the rules or join another club.- Pb Perch
You need to drive an hour and a half east. Il and IN waters of Lake Michigan hold plenty of perch in the 13-15" range. Did you at least invite him over for dinner?- Browning Silaflex Rods
50 years ago they were top of the line, retailing for over a hundred dollars. In fact I have a couple pre-Browning Silaflex rods, with the original cloth sleeves, that were my grandfathers. If the new rods are built as well as the originals you shouldn't have an issue.- Nanofil
The other "review" thread has a couple reviews and a bunch of static. I spooled up some today for a Door County trip that's in the near future. My main reason for making the purchase is the hope it won't be destroyed by zebra mussels. They tear apart flouro causing one to retie constantly. I'll let you know in a couple weeks.- Knot To Tie Floro To Braid
Albright knot. Do a search on this site and you should find a few hundred threads on this topic.- Dragging Skeg
There are many different types of skeg guards you can buy to repair/protect the skeg. I don't have any reccomendations though. Sorry.- Do You Fish With Your Significant Other?
Nope. Have no desire to. I fish with my son, my dad, both, or alone. When I was young, it was may dad and grandpa. Women were never part of the equasion.- Trim System
Yes, trim tabs.(there's a pic on the link you posted) The hydraulic tabs to the left and right of the motor in the pic. They can help raise and lower the hull as well as compensate for any kind of tilt from unevenly distributed weight. As I originaly posted they are normally used on larger boats, but you never know. Knowing limited details of what he is working on, I had to ask. ...and yes , please post a pic.- Woman Buys Fake, Wooden Ipad For $180
Golden arches...gold tooth...It all makes sense to me.- Street Magic.
There's a guy who peddles plastic lawn ornaments out of a brown van on the corner of Chicago and Kedzie. I have also had more than one guy want to trade me drugs to recharge their air conditioners. - Not So Fast !
