  1. for number two, that is a big reason for why we have seasons up here in canada for those of you who ask me why there is such a thing.
  2. I have to agree with you, when do you ever see a worm act like the presentation we generally give with them? But then again, when you fish a drop shot in thick cover you can keep the worm in one spot jigging it up and down, which to me, resembles a worm
  3. Hey guys, im sure your all behind me when I say thanks to the moderators for running such a great site. So lets all take a second just to say thanks and appreciate the hard work. Great job moderators! And thank you! Dylan
  4. Booyah spinner baits are awesome! A bleeding shad colour seems to nail them anywhere, and I prefer a willow leaf/colorado blade combo.
  5. i dont find much of a difference between the two
  6. I think a spinner-bait would fall into those categories. I always tell people this, seek them out with a spinner-bait, then pick off the less aggressive fish with a worm.
  7. I find watermelon or pumpkin seed never fails, but I haven't really experimented with other colours.
  8. A big old thumpin' spinner bait never fails in dirty water. Big Colorado blades are great.
  9. You know, at those prices, anything is worth trying out on the lake. I've heard a lot about the coffee tubes, but haven't been able to try them. The Rage Tail craws are good as trailors on jigs, but some people Texas rig them. Good luck
  10. yeah im goin with most others here- let it fall.
  11. i like to fish them as soon as the slop piles and lily pads grow. which up here (ontario) is around july. i will fish them from 6:30 am when the suns low all the way up to 12 or later. if the fish are in tight cover, the frogs just seem to work great even had a musky hit on last year, seen it come out of the water completely
  12. I would use the baitcaster for the worms over the spin-cast any day. I only use a spin-cast when im using small, light topwater lures or small crankbaits. Good luck
  13. A lot of the time you can purchase used fishing equipment for a very cheap price compared to off the shelf. Quality is something that you wont always find, but when you do get the chance to use a professional grade reel, you never want to go back to your old one. My dad's buddy is a huge tournament angler, and he gives me a lot of his old equipment, which to him is no good, when to me, its like gold. But like Roadwarrior said you don't always need the best equipment.
  14. i think its a fat free shad. just google it.
  15. i love fishing a texas rigged lizard or salamander. as light as you can get away with, making sure i just come in contact with the weeds
  16. finesse is lighter
  17. what color spinner-bait do you prefer?
  18. im sitting here with a big-o. and it looks exact. im 100% sure thats it, because i have broke the bill of a big-o and thats exactly how it broke
  19. From me and everyone else here at bassresource, our thoughts and prayers to his family.
  20. i absolutely love them. i have around 20 bags of worms from them. best worm ive used is made by tiki. i like the 10 inch worm in watermelon flake.
  21. wow thats great, nice to see father son fishing
  22. take one spot and burn a spinnerbait through it doing "fan cast's". or a crankbait whichever you prefer. Then when you get into some fish, work the area with a soft plastic. I would go over the area with the spinner bait for around 20-30 minutes, and if i get no hits then id move down a bit. good luck
