Fish brush piles planted by locals?
I would personally fish them if i were you. They are free game once in a public lake.

Falcon Cara T7 disappointment
No it was listed as a carolina rig rod. It had heavier lure rating than the flippin stick(telescopic) and a fast tip. The flippin version was a moderate tip. I even called Falcon and told them what i was looking for and they recommended this one! My Shimano Crucial 7' 6" H/F is a crow bar compared to this thing. The tip on this one has way to much bend to it. It arcs like a mod action tip! Guess it's my problem now huh? :'(

Falcon Cara T7 disappointment
Hey guys! I just received my new Falcon Cara T7(CC-7-176H) rod i ordered and i am a little disappointed. I opted for the one piece rather than the telescoping one because it was rated heavier and with a fast tip I got this rod as a flippin stick(it was labeled Carolina rig) and it is ridiculously thin! It feels kind of flimsy as well. The butt section is the size of some of my med/light rods! There is no way this thing is going to pull FL hawgs out of anything. Am i letting the looks of this rod fool me or is it too small? I want to here from guys that have this rod or any in the Cara T7 line up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A quick but successful outing.
It is very nice to see ladies that enjoy the sport too! My wife wants nothing to do with it, LOL! Great job with the jig.

Public Perception of Fishing
I absolutely hate when this happens! I have been made fun of for spending thousands on fishing gear from guys who spend thousands on drugs each year! But i'm the crazy one, go figure. : Heck, i have even seen the shirts with the hill billy fishing and lettering on them as well. My mom tells me, "why do you put so much effort into catching fish if you don't even eat them". Bottom line is, people who don't fish and don't like it will never understand it.

Help picking rod and reel out for bass fishing
Like i said, there are so many out there that would work. A really good/reliable set-up would be a St. Croix Mojo Bass rod in 7' MH/Mod and an Abu Garcia Revo S. The rod has enough backbone to fight the fish but also enough tip to throw lighter baits accurately. The reel is extremely smooth and has a 24lb drag system so you can adjust it for different line sizes. IMO, that would be a very versatile combo.

early spring clear water
I would try a shaky head jig(weight depends on depth to be fished) and a zoom trick worm in watermelon seed or green pumpkin. Also, a finesse jig and craw tralier in natural colors as well.

Fenwick HMG
That is a pretty awesome rod IMO. I had one that i used for pitching t-rigged plastics. It is sensitive and STRONG!

Help picking rod and reel out for bass fishing
There are many applications that would work for you. It all depends on how serious you are going to be about bass fishing, budget and intended uses. I think a good all around set up would be a 6'6"-7' Medium or medium heavy rod paired with a bait caster that has at least 5 or more bearings and a 6:3:1 gear ratio. Just my thoughts.

Night Fishing Favorite Bait
The very few times i have been night fishing i had tremendous success with a 10" Berkley Power worm in black with a glass rattle in it.

Spinning rod recommendation needed
How about a Shimano Crucial drop shot rod? I love the crucial line up of rods man!
-
shakey head jig heads
It all depends on where i am throwing them. In shallow or light cover i use a 3/16oz. In heavier cover or deep water i like a 3/8oz.

Finesse Jigs
I like to use them just about anywhere i can get them in. Especially in scattered cover areas. I use a big Chigger Craw trailer and have great success with that combo!

BASSIN but for some reason they stopped selling it around here since Nov last year. I can't find it anywhere!?!

Heavy Extra-Fast Team All-Star
Like everyone else has stated, just put a EWG super line hook on there. I cast my frogs on 4/0-5/0 Gamakatsu hooks with a 7' 6" H/F flippin stick sometimes!

Abu Garcia Black Max
It is an excellent choice for the $ IMO. I have one on an Abu rod and i use it as a universal/beater combo. I really like the reel to be honest. It is smooth, strong and will cast a mile if set up right.
