  1. I really don't have any, just my "lucky" outfit though.
  2. Have any success with the big ol' mag fluke yet round here in FL? To be honest man, that thing is a little scary for me, LOL! I have thrown it and got hits but most have been smaller fish that can't inhale it! I have caught them in deeper water by drifting one though.
  3. I will be on the lake fishing by 6am at the latest tomorrow and always!
  4. Guess you missed when i said we agreed to split gas before hand in the original post!?! And the part about us working for the same company but not together huh!?!
  5. WOW, just WOW!!!!! That is why you have to be the man of the house bro! Congrats to you Ellesar!
  6. I have found no real way of prolonging the life really! It all depends on how hard the fish hit it and how much fight they got in them. Most of the time they crush this thing though! I know they are not cheap but we will jut have to deal with it i guess.
  7. Unless you are fishing ultra clear lakes i think you are looking into this way too much! What works on a fish in your area is not what will work in another!
  8. Although it is not a good idea, this is true! I have successfully swung 5lbers into the boat with there own momentum alone!
  9. Dude, seriously, your gunna make me call in to work tomorrow!!!! ;D
  10. OMG dude, don't show me that i almost fell out! Can you say flippin' stick heaven!!!!!!!
  11. No success, really? I absolutely kill em with a weightless fluke through the grass!
  12. I try to keep jigs as simple as i can really! All my jigs are custom made and have removable rattles. For the slower/colder months i remove them. For the hotter/active months i add them. I almost always use a 4" Chigger Craw so there is no need for scent. The craw has more than enough scent to get the job done. I have most success almost dead sticking them in the winter and hopping them in the warmer months.
  13. For jigs i would use nothing under a 7' rod. You really need the power to drive the hook home you know. I use a Powell Max 705C and a Kistler Argon 7' 1" for jigs. They are both under $200 and they are both SWEEEEET!!!
  14. Man mrlitetackle, you are going to have me buying an UL combo! If it aint a telephone pole, it just doesn't feel right ya know, LOL? I think the lightest rod i own now is a MH/F.
  15. I often find myself setting too early as well, can't help it! It is ridiculous how they crush this thing too. I got a chance to pond fish today and after an hour i had zero bites. I went to reel my worm in for another pitch and one hit it as it surfaced! So i though hmmm, Rage Tail maybe. Sure enough, i tied the frog on and it was on! They wanted topwater all along.
  16. That thing is a beast Chris! Forget the light tackle though! I would make that guy do back flips with my swimbait set-up, LOL! ;D
  17. LOL, Big Mike got it right on! Can't wait till your in my neck of the woods man! LMK
  18. you could put the handle you kept on a shimano and it would still be the best part of the reel! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif VERY TRUE INDEED!!!!!!! 8-)
  19. Man, you have got to stop posting the same fish you caught two months ago over and over again, LOL!!!!!!! Just Kidding man, GREAT FISH! Keep on representing the EFF ELL!!!!
  20. Remember a jig is suppose to imitate a crawfish. I have most success by hoping the jig on the bottom or swimming one to imitate a bluegill.
  21. How will wearing something on the hand that holds the reel handle reduce feel? The feel comes mainly from the hand that is holding the rod.
  22. Trust me, if you power flip and pull fast enough, it will happen!
  23. Well the inevitable happened today at our weekly meeting! After it was over, he walks up to me and says " you ready for the weekend again"? I could not hold it and told him exactly what i thought of him. He than offered to give me $20 for gas and bring his own drinks!!!!! I just walked away and went to work! He doesn't even think he did anything wrong that day!
  24. If you made as much money fishing as he has, i bet you would be screaming too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the guys spirit man!
  25. When i flip i do it with 65lb straight braid and no glove! All i do is put some tape around my thumbs fingernail and lay the braid on that. It takes time to adjust but it gets very easy after a while.
