  1. Last year I did really well on a June Bug Rage Lobster T rigged. Caught a limit one night in about 45 minutes. I like Dark Brush Hogs and Magnum Lizards too. I want to try throwing a Black blue Chatterbait this year. Not sure what kind of trailer I will put on it yet, maybe a Paca Craw. Im afraid to throw a Top water, mainly cause there are 4 of us in an 18' boat, haha. Dont want those trebles coming at everyone. I am thinking about throwing a Big Black frog (Spro King Daddy) this year. May not be as scary flying back at us as a Jitterbug
  2. Senkos are a heavy plastic, I think that will be fine for them
  3. Really love my Veritas rods. Have 2 of them
  4. Thanks yall. I have a bunch of different frogs and just ordered the Spro king daddy frog. Thinking I will throw whatever catches my fancy and when I need to upgrade or if they are short striking I will change. Thinking that King Daddy will catch some big fish. Hoping so at least
  5. I have had a Pro Qualifier and its a nice reel for the money. I got a Revo S last year and liked it so much I got another Revo S. I would go for the Revo S, but that is just me. Love it! If they have the same model next year I may get another. I like the $99 Lews too...
  6. shoot, you can fish darn near any plastic on a shakey jig head. I fish a shakey head very similar to how i fish my texas rigs. I may slow it down a bit and shake it a bit more though.
  7. I dont know, but I would be trying the similar ones out. Apparently that is a good color out there
  8. I would suggest to try a shakey head over an unskirted jig. It is weedless and the worm will stand up more than the T Rig.
  9. I have recently picked up a few popping frogs, threw one today but wasnt sure if I would be better off throwing a regular frog, Bronzeye Shad kind of frog or the popper. Over the past few years so many new frog baits have come out. Whether its a Big Frog, Small Frog, medium sized frog, Popper, Bronzeye Shad kind of frog, how do you know which one to use??? Any tips?
  10. You can order some Charmer Baits. They all float since they have no salt. Pretty soft baits with garlic molded into the baits to give them a good scent and flavor to keep those fish holding on. They also have a decent variety of worms and colors
  11. I am more than happy with my Revo S. I bought a 2nd since I liked the first so much. I also like my Curado 200G6. Dont think you could go wrong with either
  12. packs of those for $1.50 at my walmart. That is something you should look at.
  13. Like others have said, I use the palomar and I am ok with the walking. The key to walking a frog is having slack in the line. If you dont have slack, you will not have much success. You could also trip half an inch off the legs. I actually just got some of the Bronzeye Shad and those suckers walk crazy easy. You could look into those for more open water.
  14. I like the Rage Tail Anacondas a whole lot.
  15. Love throwing 1/8 oz shakey heads! Caught more fish on that size than any other
  16. I typcially dont feel the line, just go through the rod. Would it work on Mono like it does on Fluorocarbon?
  17. Plastics= Zoom, Netbait, Ragetail Jigs= Hart, Slongs, D&L Spinnerbaits= Booyah Frogs= Spro
  18. I normally have a back pack with me. I can fit 2 Big Planos in it and try to have a few crank/topwaters/jigs/spinnerbaits in them. I will also have a smaller plano with my terminal. I can fit soft plastics in it too. If I need more soft plastics, I can clip a binder to the arm straps of the backpack. For a boat, I will typcially bring a bit more in a decent sized tackle bag. I store that under the passenger side console. When Picking colors I will take 2-3 of my most productive colors, typically Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red
  19. Anyone still use these? I havent used them in quite a while, found an old pack with about 3 left and havent seen them anywhere lately. Thinking I wanna throw these jokers again.
  20. I have only used the Bronzeye frog so far, but I love it. Caught many many fish on it. Only reason I have got some Booyah frogs is cause they were on sale and others have given them favorable reviews on here. Gonna try one soon
  21. Actually, the 5 lb smallmouth in my picture was caught on that Extreme rod!
  22. I learned on the same setup. Mine was a 6'6" MH though. I got a M a few years later and it is still one of my favorite rods. I have thrown darn near every type of bait on that rod. The reel pooped out after about a year, but it was a good reel to start with. The Rod however is worth $35 easily!!!! My 6'6" M Extreme is my designated spinnerbait rod, has been for about 4 or 5 years now. Caught many many fish on it. Good Find!!!!
  23. Gonna have to go with a green pumpkin or Watermelon Red Baby Brush Hog. I love me the Albino Bronzeye frog too
  24. So yall use it like a finesse C-Rig? I havent tried it. Just throw and drag the bottom?
