thank you to all, it was quite the experience that i definitely will not forget!!!!!! and dont forget......... i have to take all cellphones, and any electronics on you............. no tracking or coordinates!!!!!! and Quitlimpin...... all the fish are a rush man!!!!!!!! this one was just a little more fun 8-) and although i have been on a streak lately, its not always like this out there.......... i really do feel kinda bad for my buddy who comes out with me every time.......... its been over 6 weeks since his last larger fish, and he has to see me catch'em all in person.

not really a snack, but along the lines of fav. discontinued crap that we love...... starfruit flavored gatorade........ i hated that they took this flavor off so much that i honestly wrote a letter to gatorade and questioned their reasoning...... they told me that the flavor being tested did not sell up to standards and "consoled" me with the loss of my favorite flavor with many free coupons for gatorade products..... not bad PR in my opinion...... BUT I STILL WANT MY STARFRUIT GATORADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off i must say thank you to Fish Chris for inspiring this adventure with the new UL. I just bought a Sahara 500, paired with a 5'6" fish eagle II UL.......and lined it up with some suffix braid (2lb dia., 6lb test). Mainly i wanted to use this setup for panfish and smaller bass, but the recent posts by Fish Chris made me want to take the gear to Lunker Lake, as to put it to the test. So i prepared for some larger fish on the UL by picking up some jumbo shiners at the baitshop and headed out for the day. the day was good, i caught 6 bass on artificials, and 3 on the live bait. Thats when the 7.6 lb'er rocked the UL, and the battle was on!!!!!!! The drag was screaming, my heart was pounding...... and im fishing from shore....so i have no idea if i'll be able to land this fish!!! What a fight!!!!! It took a little while to get her in, but she swam away just fine after it was all done. the UL gear is completely awesome, and im now completely addicted to it :D .... the 1st pic is your classic dink on the UL the 2nd was a decent fish, but amazing on the UL the 3rd i can only describe as epic!!!!

fresh, anywhere from 30 min to 1 hr 15 min or so....... salt, about 40 to an hour and a half...... both depending on spots of choice.

........... and pound for pound, i believe that peacocks are far better battlers than the equivalent size LMB, in my opinion.

i used to live in broward, right across from pembroke lakes elematary, where the "block of christmas lights" are every year. some great fishing for peacocks that i found as a youngster there was on the pembroke lakes golf course. of course the rangers liked to hassle me as well, but i was a kid...... so what could they really do??? .....and in my years there, i found that peacocks totally over run the LMB...... in all the areas that i fished as a child, my main catch was peacocks.....and when i caught a LM, i was always quite surprised!!! the ratio was probably around 10 to 1.

i switched to all braid, but in the past with my mono........ i never had that happen, although i can feel your pain...... thats gotta suk. and........ ........classic and an amazing eppisode!!!!!!!! i love that show.
