Mojo bass rods.
didnt meant it to be a label or anything ya know just some guys would love to have a loomis or st.croix and will never have a chance to due to prices but with lower models it can be possible i mean add 50 bucks to that 100 and you can get a carrot stick one of the fastest growing most popular rods out there these days that everyone is raving about and is giving the 300 rods a run for their money i love that rod over all my other higher end rods.

Re: What rod $100 - $150 to match with Revo SX?
AVOID a quantum rod...id say a st.croix avid or mojo i personaly got mine on a 7'mh fast carrot stick also love it cant beat it for its sensativity lightness and strength...for 150 those rods are a true steal bigtime most ppl think its called a carrot stick due to the orange color,do some reasearch and youll find out just why its called a carrot stick

Mojo bass rods.
why? chances are that it would have the same type of low-mid range blanks and components that the Mojo has... so what it would make it so that your average middle man or person who cant afford much with this economy atleast be able to hold onto and fish with a top brand and be able to say they own one (might not mean anything to you or be crap/garbage to you) but to that guy it would be gold...nuff said!!!!

Another knot question
i use palomar on everything ive to this date never once had a knot break sure myh line has broke but never at the knot.and on some braid ill add a dab of superglue to it...if you want a great book about knots then get "bob mcnallys complete book of fishermans knots, rigs and how to use them". theres some pretty great knots in that book some ive never even heard of but have used and work great.

I need some help spooling my Calais.
when your spooling it is the levelwind moving?otherwise sometimes if you tie a huge knot to anchor your line to your spool it will cause your line to wind on the spool funky with clumps or hills in the spool, what kind of line is it?

carbon fiber...
are you using actual fiber or is that like vinyl??
-
quantum reels - just recieved reel that i sent in for warranty
quantum...topnotch????? your kiddin right??? go on forums, store websites and read reviews of there stuff everyone seems to have problems with there stuff, breaks often for the prices paid and theryre cs yes is a HUGE problem/joke.they put about as much quality and effort as they do into theyre zebco reels...only 2 good things about quantum, hotsauce and KVD,other then that garbage.they need to step it up though cause all the other reel companies are i.e pflueger, abu and the top dogs daiwa & shimano sooner or later quantum will either bo sold out or go under or just flat out down the tubes if they dont quit puttin out junk that dont last a season or two.but eh to each his own

Cardiff question
yeppers....smooth assss butter...thats why shimanos got the rep they do,that oh so good silky smoothness!!!makes ya kinda wanna jump on over to the shimano side huh haha. and 5-10 yrs from now if well taken care of itll still be that smooth...its mind boggling how they most of the time have less bearings then the other guys but theyre reels are so much smoother and silkier...next time you go to a bps or something grab your fav brand then walk over with it and pick up a shimano that butter feel will be the same with line on that shimano might not beable to say the same for that other brand. i have alot of brands all but quantum but nuttin tops a shimano for quality smoothness service and warranty.

Deep Crankin Reel.
my brother n law has that reel...decent reel but talk about casting crap for miles ..wow.....that thing can haul out the line with a decent size lure on the end.i liked it when i tried it kinda fun to watch your bait sail out there and count to yourself 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.......till it hits the water 80 yrds out haha.
-
carbon fiber...
i got some carbon fiber left over from body work on a racer we did,im thinking of taking some and tracing some of my bc handles and making some carbon handles for them..anyone ever do/attempt this??nay/yay?

BPS Extreme Reel Opinions..
first bc i ever got and learned on....treated me well and its still going strong today.for the price and your first go for it,just buy some mid level line to learn on dont wanna go birdnesting and cutting up expensive line, just set the brakes right and get yourself a casting plug and have at it after a couple casts youll get the feel for it hardest part is learning when and how to thumb the spool but youll get it ...good luck and have fun with it.
-
quantum reels - just recieved reel that i sent in for warranty
thats what happens when you buy quantum, some learn the hard way.that warranty is good as garbage as is quantum and theyre customer service....good luck youll need it...go buy a zebco its still a quantum, at a cheaper price.

Best Casting Affordable Baitcaster
agree with islandbass...start out at setting the vbs at 3 brakes on get used to it and your thumb control then set um to 2 and more then likely itll stay that way from then on out just use the spool control knob to balance out the difference betwen lure changes.but seriously also check the citica for 50 bucks less its got a few less bearings but its built on the same curado frame and everything...try to find another reel built in japan for $120....wont happen.but good luck adios

Curado. VS Energy.
quantum is crap all there stuff....cant beat a shimano itll last you years as quantum probably a season then itll go on the fritz.plus theyre customer serivce is....please hold.....25 min later...lemme redirect your call....elevator music 15 more min....then disconnect.stay away..far away!!!!plus quantum will use crap gears and parts when they can get away with it or to save weight even on some of there so called highend stuff.

braided line knot
use the same poly knot but try putting a small dap of superglue on the knot, should solve that problem.
-
Problem Casting Flourocarbon
your not alone alot of flor/spinning useers have this same problem even though i hate spiderwire the new flour they got out is supposed to work good on spinning outfits but as for the trilene everyone who puts it on spinning reels has the loop problem seems its more made for casters, why not use a braid then a flour leader?did you make sure your lines not coiled/twisted on the spool? try taken a swivel tie it to a tree and walk out the line and uncoil it see if that helps.

I can't really think of a title for this..."The Greatest Combo Ever," maybe?
talk about having time on yer hands but thats some funy stuff right there...maybe next get a pro to indorse it and use it on tour.
-
baitcaster vote, daiwa tierra or shimano citica 200e
screw it today i decided i know i wont be happy with either choice. ill buy one then still want the other (like we all do at times i sure) so im just going to buy both the tierra and citica.but thanks you guys for your input.will the tierra be good for a crankin reel/rod combo? cause thats what itll probably go on with 12-15 lb floro, citica my topwater, jign rod with braid and floro leader.

Best Casting Affordable Baitcaster
curado compaired to a bps reel is like choosing a camaro to a ferrari....i myself am looking into the new shimano citica ita a 100 size reel but has a 200 size line capacity.and there only $120,i got the jm bps reel as a stocking stuffer its smooth and great dont get me wrong but the shimano is in a totaly diff league.itll last you 10 yrs from now,the bps doubtful
