I think you will be. It's a pretty versatile rod with plenty of power.

I use this rod for some bladed jigs, large topwaters, spinnerbaits and some sq bills. It is a mod fast action but it has a good deal of power.

The closest DSG to me is terrible. It is definitely worth a trip for bogo Senkos though.

Yeah, it sucks that they put a 80mm handle on their flagship us reel. If Christmas bonus santa is good to me, I might just get this one. I do give Daiwa huge props for listening to the public and ditching the original Tatula frame as soon as they could. I'm sure it cost them a lot of money to completely redesign but in the end it was definitely worth it.

I think they all try to enforce MAP but it's got to be near impossible with Ebay and the like. My last two non JDM Shimano reels were purchased at well below MSRP. Don't pay retail for Daiwa or Shimano, or probably any other brand for that matter.

I would add a 7'-7'6" H/F to fish heavy t-rigs, c-rigs, jigs, frogs and whatever heavy cover you have. If you don't fish those baits much make it a MH for a more versatile set up. Add a 7:1 or higher reel and you're good to go.
