I'd probably go ahead and use braid. Keep in mind if and when it fades you can just pull it off cut it fromthe backing and reverse the braid. Wala! brand new line. This is assuming you have enough braid left of course. Re: frogs my Walmart sells them but not all do and any local bait shop should as well. You should have more than one anyway so go pick up a couple and start fishing. If no frogs try a buzzbait or a popper or floater of some sort. I hear ya on the spell thing. I have the following searches Pflueger Shimano Spinning Shimano casting Abu Garcia Steal deals for all fishing under a certain $ Bass Pro shops Cabelas Daiwa Same searches I've had forever and I don't even find anything to bid on. I am still mainly looking for the same series of reels so that will have an effect. I just don't care to bid on the other models. Just curious if anyone was seeing the same trend or if I was being too picky. No big deal either way it saves the budget this way. I did watch a 6o minutes deal with the head of E-bay and it seemed to follow the trend that I'm finding ( less sellers because of fees ).

I've bought several reels onE-bay in the past and I've been watching E-bay for well over a year now. I haven't found much of anything to bid on and can find absolutely no "deals". Has anyone else noticed this? I posted something similar probably 8 months ago and several people commented that E-bay's changes that have hurt sellers has greatly deterred them. @nd question - Craigs list, I just don't get it. Do you have to search for everything one state at a time? I've tried looking a couple of times and it seems that way. Thanks in advance FFI - AKA Matt Crum

I went to a small gathering for a friend of our daughter. This friend is moving to Arizona for medical school and it was a small going away party. A friend of this girl was in the crowd; I found out the next day that she was the daughter of a huge oil co owner or CEO level a tleast. Nice normal sounding youg girl who had recently gotten married. I didn't detect a single ounce of snobbery. Good thing the party wasn;t at that girls house or we would have been way way way way way out of our element!

Palomar I highly doubt that anyone is going to give more than the gov rebate price for the car. The car has to be destroyed thus it can't be worth anymore than the rebate. That's how I understand it anyway.

Very nice Matt M you paid attention in class! I'm awfully rusty but the only thing I could think of is with an AC load you'd also have the cos of theta ( for non resistive loads). In theory anyway but in practicality it is more often than not ignored. Again I'm rusty so correct me if I have it wrong.

Does he deserve a medal? probably so for having the courage to protect he and his family. Should we celebrate? sort of as we are rid of a problem. The guy won't be bothering anyone else. Maybe a soon to be criminal will think twice which also goes to the medal issue. Is it a tragedy all around? yes. I feel for all the guys family but maybe or maybe not the crooks. I've seen and heard many a family trash talk and bad mouth the innocent. I had a guy who had his car stereo ripped off and the police later caught the thief. The family glared at my buddy throughout the trial like he had done something wrong. I'd withhold judgement before I heard knew their response.

I just happen to have be reading the June issue of Field & Stream today at lunch. They asked 4 manufacturers to submit a $50 BC for testing 1) Diawa Strikeforce rating 4.5 2 testers gave 1st place scores all 4 agreed they'd buy this reel. misses - star drag kind of hard to get at compared to handle 2) Shimano Callisto rating 4.0 1 1st place score - liked the mag control, 1 felt like the drag and braking were loose 3) Pflueger Criterion rating 3.5 3 really liked it, one 1st place score, reel broke down on the 4th guy Pflueger offered to fix for free One guy said he "couldn't tell much difference from his $250 ABU" 4) BPS tny special 3.0 3 last place votes "sticky levelwind and too much plastic" They asked 4 man's to submit reels in this price range and they were tested by 4 F&S fisherman. If it were me I'd be more inclined to wait for the BPS Extreme's to go on sale as they are often marked down to $59 or less. You can find on E-bay for probably less especially if used. There were probably several. 70's vintage Walter Payton comes to mind . His line was awful, his QB's were awful you name it. Maybe Barry Sanders w Detroit as well. Jim Kelly with some Buffalo teams and some others, maybe even Gayle Sayers but he had some lineman and some defense. Not college I know but it shows the general possibility I think.
