Sportsman's Warehouse
I kind of like the place as they have one near the hotel we stay at when we visit my daughter in Wisconsin. I think I mainly like it as it is so close to where we stay. I get up earlier then everyone else and walkt to it. They have a lot of stuff. They seem to have milions of lures. They have qlmost every brand of rod. All that aside the one I visit's prices were not that great. Absolutely nothing was on sale and it was a weekend in late winter ( very late ). They had a nnice reel selection but some were pretty old models. Bottom line it beats Dick's

Stores and your Credit card info
It looks like if you use a credit or debit card that stores are sucking the information out of the transaction and using it for marketing. Where did I give them permition to record my info and use it? This just kind of rubs me the wrong way and ticks me off? On the lighter side... As a result I get a free "panty of the month" coupon from Victoria Secret. Just how many thongs do they think I need! Great, now the post office probably thinks I'm a cross dresser!

Farmall Tractors
I'm not into the framing life style but pretty cool it brought back some fond memories for some of you. The closings made a huge change in the economy of that area. I live 100 miles away but I still visit the parents there. Not only was Farmall there with several plants but so was Case co or Case IH, Lots of mergers and stuff I didn't keep up with even some Navistar thing I never undertood. John Deere, headquarters and multiple several plants are also located there. Only John Deere basicly remains. These co's had plants on both sides of the river, the other side being Davanport Iowa and Bettendorf etc plus multiple plants up and down stream. The Rock Island lines was huge in its day. They had thousands of cars through there plus the main engine and car repair for the lines. That was about done by the time I was in my 20's Its from the 50's but here is a link to a you tube of RI lines

What's the gig with baitcasters?
All the above plus if you buy something decent and don't use it you can sell it seveal ways and get most of your money back. If you buy cheap forget about buying a buyer. The Citica deal is a good one a the moment. The Revo / Allstar or Fenwick deal is a little pricy equip but very good deal at the moment.

Ahhhh! I can breath again. It wasn't a bass but it was a fish and not huge. Just nice to be out and to catch a fish after 4 months of frozen tundra!

What a Crappy Day...
If you think waiting on a woman is bad now you are in for a real surprise later on. I deserve the french medal of honor or something as there are 6 count em Six women at my house ( not counting visitors ) to just one male me. ARGHHH!!! LOL One day you will understand. Normal to not appreciate it now. As far as a bad day wait until the day ( hope it never happens to you ) that corp decides to downsize and you or your buddy or your spouse gets laid off after years of dedication. I'm not being cross just trying to point out that it can always be worse, don't sweat the small stuff. Sit back and girl watch for 4 hours! LOL

This sounds right on to me Git R - seems to me you way over reacted. He is saying C & R is a good thing. I don't think he was making an iron clad proposal about anything just a light general statement take a breath and maybe re-read his post

Only in my county version 2
I read this in the paper and I believe it was localish. A guy was arrested at, I think it was a bus stop. He was arrested for assault and injured to women one of which was fairly old. He kind of beat the crap out of them. Not sure what started it. The twist is he was on his way to a court ordered anger management class. I'm thinking a refund should be issued for the classes. it will help him pay fines, court costs etc. LOL geezssshh sometimes you wonder about this world.

How many rods do you bring when bank fishing?
I usually bring four, 2 for ea hand to carry. I've downsized my tackle bag for bank fishing and carry it with a shoulder strap. I don't like to waste a lot of time tying so I'll probably have one rod with a swimbait, one with a spinnerbait. I'll have one with a plastic worm and one sometimes 2 rigged for crappie nibbles. Most of the places I fish are easy access if it were tight quarters it would be one or 2.

Lightniong rods
I love my lighning rods especially for the bang for the buck. I would caution though that if the Pflueger rod concerns you that much then the Lighning might not cut it either. I have no experience with any Pflueger rods ( only reels ). I'd look at a Convergence, or BPS Extreme ( $100 list often had for $60). There is an Allstar series somewhat higher that comes very highly reccomended. Next up from there then would maybe be the St Croix Avid's, then St Croix Legens and Loomis's I've heard several people mention that the StCroix Triumph series is very substandard quality.
