This Magic Moment
I’m going to make a plaque and put it on my boat……. That’s deep. Is that a @Lottabass original or did you get it from somewhere?

Fishing the bushes
When I fish flooded waters, I like anything Texas rigged….worm, creature, tube, even a boot or paddle tail minnow. Weedless is what I like, and put it right at the bushes and trees. Like @Swamp Girl commented, I think shaking the bushed get their attention.

Frog hooksets
I might as well fish without a hook, I miss hook sets that much. I keep fishing them though, I figure one day I’ll get the hang of it. I like frog fishing, the casting accuracy and different retrievals you use can be the difference. Although, won’t matter to me ….. I’ll miss them anyway

It was EXACTLY like replacing a stripped out spark plug. But painful and gross.
Oh man, you all are freaking me out!!!

What has been your experience with Temu/Aliexpress reels?
I bought a bait cast combo with a telescopic rod for the truck, came with a BFS spool. For what it was it is a decent reel. The whole thing was $38.00, and 6-8 weeks to get here. I will add too, that I bought some square bill and crank baits that have been catching fish. Over all it was a good experience.

How Do You Play Your Bass.....??? Play Them Till Tired or Surf Them In...?
I do want needed to get them away from cover and possible snags. I do a controlled reel in , not surf them in but not, dilly dallying ether, can’t really explain it. Gators can be bad about taking your catch.

Peacock Bass along tamiami trail
Well I finally got to get some fishing in. Heading from Homestead to Everglades City I pulled over and fished where I could with the camper. Didn’t catch any peacocks, but a couple snakeheads. I use about every lure type I had, no dice. After setting up the camper I went back out and fished until about 7pm, did get anything the bite was dead. Did meet a guy with his kids, he wasn’t fishing, he just brought his kids to fish. I thought it was nice he didn’t fish, but knew his kids did so he just watched. The boy was showed me his baitcaster his dad had got him, and how he could cast it now with no birds nest. The girl was younger and was interested in casting and burning it back in. I think she was actually practicing…. She’d sidearm, then backhand, overhead, underarm, then real as fast as she could. The topwater was skipping across the water back in. Anyway, got to do some tourist stuff this morning and will got back out again this evening.

Shimano Reels: Caveat Emptor
Just try and add up the total feet of line that reel has reeled in, with or without a fish. It’s mind boggling. Hahaha. Are ya going to get some new reels?

AC Spark Plugs, 97K on original platinum plugs from a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer 4.2 Liter straight 6
I’ve had to redo a lot of work I paid somebody else to do, less aggravating and I cost less if I just do it myself.

PB for my Pond
Great pictures and seems like you had a spectacular day of fishing

Joedodge boat build/set up
I have something similar, it a small cooler with locking lid. It fits snug between the seats, call it my dry box. Keeps flares, phone, etc anything I want to protect. I can totally understand, I don’t like rooting & rutting around for things. A tote keeps things dry …. Not like an Ammon box but dry enough.

Patience, or…….
I’m not a running & gunning type angler, more like a strolling and wandering type. I just mosey along and if it catches my interest, I’ll hang for a little while, then move on.

Joedodge boat build/set up
How’d it work out??? I have been struggling with storage on my little boat for ever. I still haven’t found that ……”ah ha” moment where I go “that’s it”, maybe I’ll get it one day.
-
Anyone else struggle to flip once on the water?
I realize the same thing @Joedodge, I was great off the dock but in the boat….. I was all over the place. Nothing like time on the water….. I love it, I might get a tee-shirt with that on it. Hahaha

Help me identify maker of this Walking Bait
That thing has difficulty been used, are those hook wear marks on the sides? I’ve never had a topwater that long, that the hooks wore on the side. I googled “bone colored topwater” then clicked images. I couldn’t find an exact match.

Buzzbait line observations
I never thought about the line. I’ve noticed I have fewer hook-ups with buzz baits and frogs. I just figured it was due to single hook versus treble, like you have on a popper or walking bait. Interesting…… I don’t think I have any trouble with spinner bait, but then maybe I do. I can’t see the near misses, like with topwater. Hmmmm……

A few yardsale finds.
Good find @Bazoo . I love a good yard sale, scored some good stuff at few. I e never seen diamond rattle traps before.

What do you have tied on in the summer?
Always a t-rigged ribbon tailed worm. A square billed crank bait. And a popper.
