LOL….I have no idea what it is …. But it sure has made me laugh today.
  2. Hi Everyone, What is this, and what do ya do with it? No name on it, no stamp, it’s made kinda cheaply too. The handles reminds of the early 70’s bake-o-lite stuff, I think that’s want is was called. My wife bought me a Plano box for a couple bucks, at a yard sale she stopped at. It had a few rattle traps and 2 crank baits, and this. I have no idea what it is.
  3. Thanks for tha added bit of history tnriver
  4. I have the president 35 and the President 35 XT Limited Edition. Looking at them the XT is bulkier looking, but honestly it feels better than my regular President. Smoother and the drag is more even than the president. I have it on a 7’ med, hvy. Use it for wacky rig and skipping around docks. Got it on sale at Bass Pro for around $60.00, I think.
  5. WOW!!! Is everyone sure that’s not a typo? I mean really? $1100.00 Us dollars, not pesos or some kind of other currency?
  6. Thanks for sharing, very interesting story. I used to live about 2 hrs from Lake Watauge, Tn. The town of Butler Tennessee was flooded to make the lake, ( they did move the town). I had heard they were draining down the lake to accommodate the heavy snow fall in the mountains that year, and to make repairs on something. I grabbed my 12 ft, my trusty old 6hp evinrude, and away I went. A lot of other people had the same thought. I about frozen to death but it was worth it.
  7. Thanks Glenn, this is a great site. I want to thank everyone else here too, for all the suggestions and advice given to help me….and others. I’ve tried new ways to present the bait, some worked great for me and some ….ahhh, didn’t catch anything, but hey it’s all about the journey. Plus I got to buy some cool new tackle LOL. Thanks again Glenn and everyone else. G
  8. I know Jensen Beach, surfed and fished there. My Dad lived in Stuart for awhile, is the bathtub still a popular place. I live more in the middle of the state, Lake George part of the St John’s River.
  9. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Secret_Lures_Stupid_Tube_Jig_Heads_5pk/descpage-SLTJ.html I bought the jig heads to rig the stupid style, I don’t know if they are any good, but thought it was a place to start.
  10. Wow!!! Nice catch
  11. I don’t like pitching style fishing from the sitting position from the bow of my boat. Gotta get that body english in there, it probably doesn’t help much , but I am for comfortable standing. I never thought about try to pitch sitting at water level, it seems like it would be more difficult and take some practice.

Wow!!! Did you buy two of all the colors?
  13. When I was in the military we had wool socks, wore them all the time, hot or cold. Washed easy and dried easier than cotton. Even in the humidity of the jungle. Even dried ok when it was cold.
  14. It will be here soon

  17. I save all my old plastic, use what I can for trailers. Then melt down everything and I have a couple of open pour molds my friend gave me. I get weird colors, but it is fun.
  18. Catt posted it earlier in the thread

  20. Hi from the Sunshine State of Fl. I used to be strictly salt water too, I too move to Nc, just north of Asheville. Started small mouth fishing, now I’m back in Fl.
  21. Hi from the Sunshine State of Fl, I had fun fixing up my boat. Not as much fun as fishing out of it but, close.
  22. I hope everything works out for you.
  23. I read reviews, you have to be open minded when you reading them. Somebody’s problem with the item might not be a problem for me, it just might be a plus. Some reviews you can tell they are “ salting the mine” so to speak, like another person said here “ it almost sounds like they read it off the brochure” or they use terms or words that no one uses. Other reviews should be on the shipping companies…. Who would write a bad review on a Ferrari because the “lot boy” scraped it down the garage door bringing too. I like the search here on BR, it’s more of somebody that actually tried and used kinda of opinion. Like “ The brand xxx line faded badly” ok that tells me he at least spooled and had it on the reel for a while.
  24. Ike8120 has the Kastking Zepher combo, he tuned it with new bearings and seems to be real happy with it. I’ve been leaning more that direction it less expensive.
