  1. Congrats
  2. Congratulations Ski, those are good numbers. I’m going try and fish Rodman this year. I live a few mile south of the cross barge canal on st Johns River, so I’d have to use the locks Nice pics
  3. I’ve been spending more time Hawg Hunting here lately. Watch the weather, look for a rain shower at the right time of the day to let the barometric pressure work me, wind, temperature, sun position, etc… I kinda pick my time and place for Hawg Hunting. Other days I just fish.

  9. Does anybody use any kind of treatment or anything on their jig, buzz bait and spinnerbait skirts? I heard a few different things to spray or dip them in to make the last longer and not stick together.. just wondering what if anything other people use. Thanks G

  11. Hey Everyone Just wondering if anybody ever fished Rainbow River, near Dunnellon Fl. Will be there and doing kayak fishing. Any advise will help Thanks G
  12. Don’t know how far south your going, but I love south of Palatka, near Welaka. I fish in June, early morning and evenings, by midday, the bite just seems to turns off. I head up up some of the rivers, Ocklawaha or Bear creek. Water is cooler. Oh yea I forgot … It’s hot and muggy here during that time. Evening storms too, but I’ve found the fish seem to bite more before the storms. The lighting can get a little unnerving but the bass are biting. if you want, PM me closer to coming down, and I’ll let ya know what I know.

  17. I took a course similar to that when I was Ft. Bragg, but it was called E&E, ( escape & evasion).
  18. Any skipping or around docks, I just pick up a spinning rig. I like to fish a lot of weightless around docks, so it’s more difficult for me to use a bait caster. It sure beats fixing a birds nest. I’ve only been using one about 10-12 years.

I just bought a few bags of tubes too, can’t wait to get out and try them, one of my bags was Maxscent too. Got me some stupid jigs heads, made by secret lures. I have never fished tubes before,so I got a few different weights of jig heads to try.
  20. Very early morning and almost dark is the only time I’ve ever caught anything on a buzz bait. The water was like glass too. Middle of the day …..nada, zilch, zippo. I’m going to try in the wind next time.
  21. Never heard of them, are they Bill Lewis rattle trap? The only reason I ask because I call all lipless rattling, flat sided crank baits rattle traps.
