As much as I enjoy buying (not neccessarily shopping) I get more out of building rods and still more out of actually using it all. Give me time on the water over time at the store or shop!!

Sounds like it's time for a servicing. I've had that problem in the past on a couple reels but a good clean and re-lube always fixed it. I don't honestly remember if it was something sticking from dirty build up or a worn part.... I'm guessing the former since I was never charged extra.

It was ugly. BUT considering all the penalties and sloppy play, the Cowboys played them better than any other team has. There's no shame in only being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFL at this point in the season.

I haven't bought one in a few years but the old L & T rods used to be an incredible value and fished like a rod 2-3 times it's price.

The only time I have had a seat loosen up is with a particular reel that I hold differently than the rest. I seem to hold mostly reel on that one. Each cast and then hookset moves the reel a fraction back and forth so it is able to wiggle the nut loose over time. Really no problem to check the nut as I pick up the rod each time. I have used that reel on almost every rod I own and with seats made by Fuji, Batson, Amtak and an unknown... it does it on all of them. My guess is that you guys palm your reels like I palm that one. That BPS seat mentioned, if it's the one I'm thinking of, would force you to hold the reel differently than the Fuji.... maybe that's the difference. Just a thought.

There are a couple places that sell it that take paypal but my suggestion is to get a debit card... taken anywhere a credit card is. I live by mine!

Our Sportsman's Warehouse is great... they carry a big selection of mid & higer end rods and reels. A Soft bait selection that never dissapoints me and a big selection of other tackle which includes many of the high end brands. Even got all the big names in swimbaits. Ours has a smaller clothing area than a lot of them... but the fishing area is bigger than many of them. The staff can be hit or miss- just like any other store.

There are a lot of us longer term members that get away with stuff that would surely be edited from a new member. The shelf life, according to Berkley is 3 years with proper storage. That is for all the Trilene mono's. You might have gotten an old spool. I got some bad line a couple years ago, I called them and got replacement spools for everything I owned, free of charge and they didn't require retun of the old stuff... just asked me to throw it away. Big game is good line but I like XT better, BG seems to get spool memory way faster for me.

What a nail biter!! I gotta disagree on Buf deserving to win... their offense only came up w/ 3 pts. Dal gave them EVERY opportunity to take the game. How about the poise of the kicker? A career long, pressure cooker, game winner, at the buzzer- twice!! I had trouble going to sleep afterwards. ...lol Don't know what happened to Romo, I'm inclined to say that Buf just played good D. With 2 tips and a bad route- it maybe should have been 2 pics but that's the way it goes sometimes. He sure looked good at the end.... made a strong drive to get the TD and give us a chance. As seldom as the on-sides kick works, I'm starting to think maybe there is "supposed to" wins and losses in the NFL. ...lol Oh well, it was nice to have my team win the heartbreaker for a change.
