Why does KVD stay so close to the top year after year??? Boys, KVD's approach is the same as the bass, always has, always will be for the most parts of the year, find the FORAGE, find the bass. Certainly is in a class by himself amoungst the current active pros. 2 classics and 5 AOY speak for themselves.

How many spots does the FLW pay AOY? 1 and how much? so small, I don't want to embarass the FLW fans, so I'll leave it alone. How many spots did BASS pay out to AOY in the past years? 1 This year, they all get paid, so its win win! 3 less tournaments and 3 less post season tournaments, the Majors. So, BASS is trying to make up for the other Majors that disappeared in this poor economy.

Please post the polls from all states then. Its cut and dry as you say, then it will be easy to show this is not opinion and is fact.

Public perception in most states don't have a clue and thats the truth. I dare you to ask one hundred strangers, thats grandma's teachers and ordinary peeps. Ask them what the bag limits are on deer and fish in general. Most are gonna say its not there cup of tea. Those would be the one referred to as general public? I worked here at a hospital that is less than 45 minutes from Fork. LOL, 95% or more, of them didn't know the State record, lake it was caught, and that Fork is the BASS capital of Texas. I teamed up with a lady friend and fished some coed tournaments and we did okay. Most of the workers at this hospital had no clue of big bassin is in Texas, much less the rest of the country. Most don't know that Espn has fishing shows on Sat and hunting on Sunday. General perception, most don't have a clue unless its their cup of tea at some time. LOL

At least BASS is trying to move in a direction that they haven't tried. Any post season or tournaments for those who qualify are better than none at all. KVD said this one means as much as the other 4 did, plus this one earned more money for the anglers, its win win on this one, no entry fee.

It don't matter, in the end, the SEC will work its self out. Don't get mad at Texas for soft schedule. An SEC opponent cancelled out on us this year after we laid 50+ on the conference who plays defense last year. Bama will have played their share of cream puffs too! Chattanooga, North Texas, Florida International. 8-)

I don't see the fire in alot of those rivalries listed any more and i think it has to do with the personell that have come and gone. I will say that one of the most anticpated games of the year growing up was OU vs Neb Thanksgiving day or the old Washington vs Dallas Turkey Day games. Sorry aTm, I haven't felt the rivalry since Slocum left and the Wrecking Crew hasn't been seen since either. OU and Texas is big. OSU and MICHIGAN USC vs OSU/MICH/PENN. St/ ND Bama and Alburn Florida and Miami and FSU 20 years ago.

Explain if you don't mind. You saying BASS paid 1.4 just to fish a fishery???? Texas has a law in place about wasting game resources. Its illegal to throw resources back into the waters if the fish is dead. So culling a live fish isn't illegal by law, but putting a dead fish back in the water is. The loop hole in Texas is to cull before your fish dies in the livewell.

Last year we was drop shotting on CedarCreek under the 198 bridge on Xmas eve, and it was snowing and cold as hell. Chris' fairy wand doubled over and I could see the swimming motion and her drag was singing. With the cold temps, you know how big fish feel like dead weight and put up a small fight. When it was all said and done, it was camcorder, she hooked the strap and that thing danced like a big toad. Had me excited. I'll try to get her to pull up pictures of this catch.

Grilled cheese and french fries, cheap and easy. Kraut Dogs instead of chili dogs. Sloppy joes and fries. Love fried Bologna sandwiches. I like to buy the 16 oz Hillshire Farms sausage for 2.50, cook half, grilled BBQ with a package of .88 package of fried rice, spanish rice, or make your own rice. Too easy to be cheap when you don't have to cook for a bunch!

The team to beat from the NFC west it appears. They have some key ingredients to being good for awhile. Solid running game and solid defensive anchor at MLB. Think Singletary doesn't inspire his LB?

I'm with you on that Catt, I think Neb will give VT all they want and some more. Just how good is the ACC if GT is half of the title game? Not impressed with them this year or this year as for being a RANKED team. 8-)

Just like Catt mentioned, GT isn't so good when they face anyone with some speed on Defense with talent. I'm not sure how good the Canes are either, Florida State hasn't exactly been tearing the polls up the past few years. GT, over ranked. I would love to see Neb. put the beat down on VT. We will see just how good the Canes are when they play OU coming up. Hookem 8-)

Bass will eat to survive, thats a given. How smart can a bass be to be caught numerous times off a bed with a boat setting on top of ya? Every year? the same routine? Just how smart can a bass be? If bass are so smart, they would only spawn deep to escape the beating they take. Do they condition to this? WE tend to think the older girls do. Why not all? How come this gene isn't passed to others to spawn deep if it can be passed as some think. Texas actively stocks bass, Tx biologist believe that only 10% of texas bass see a lure in a years time. I can see where states that don't have the bass populations, or small bodies of water, gin clear condintions, highly pressured, non active stocking program where those bass can be highly conditioned.

Af few years back, Earl Campbell's son graduated from Austin Westlake. Was WR and pretty good, but he decided against following in his fathers footsteps and went to Florida on a track scholarship. Thats the last I heard on his son.

Nate Newtons son Trey is playing at UT, had pretty good start to his career. Came from SouthLake Carroll, highly coveted HS program in TX. I also saw a teen phenom, Barry Sanders' son is playing in Oklahoma in HS. Helped his team to 15-0 as a 14 year old, is looking good as well this season. Also have seen Jack Nicklaus grandson making name for him self in football in Florida. Looking to be top TE in HS for the 2011 draft class. Any other famous sons, grandsons out there we haven't heard about?

I hope I never have to battle cancer. Patrick had been fighting the battle for a few years. I think the first time I remember seeing him was Red Dawn. Any earlier movies I might have forgotten. RIP

Jake played some of the best football their SuperBowl run. That was one of the greatest SuperBowl finishes, Pats and Panthers. Don't know whats missing, but he's capable of putting it together. 12-4 last year???????
