  1. Any updates? Praying for a quick recovery and a great outcome.
  2. Some of my best baits are scratched up. Keep fishing with them. Fish don’t care near as much about it as you do. I coat my homemade baits with Devcon. Stay away from the 5 minute stuff. It does tend to yellow. I’d be afraid a heavy topcoat would ruin the action on many baits.
  3. Not much of a fan of pro sports but I sure do miss watching my grandchildren play. One granddaughter just made the JV softball team at school, had a couple of scrimmage games and everything closed. She also plays on a travel team. Couple of grandsons play travel baseball. They are kind of lost without ball!!
  4. Well if it was mine, I’d either weld it or scrap it. I wouldn’t trust anything else with that many holes.
  5. Yeah, I’ve seen guys weld aluminum soda cans. A good welder can fix it right. I would not patch it with glue and/or rivets.
  6. Grandson’s first fish of the season. Good stuff.
  7. The simple answer is no. I would consider it too much of a hassle to return it to offset any benefits in a higher speed.
  8. I don’t know how many I’ve caught. Not enough for sure. Really would like to catch another pretty soon!
  9. Never ever use a damaged blade. Especially in a table saw.
  10. Looks like an old skipjack someone used to make??
  11. Makes me wonder what kind of deals you all are getting that we’re not. Never really thought about it being regional but it seems logical now that you mention it.
  12. Was on the back page of the flyer.
  13. My ad says excluded from rod and reel trade in. I’m glad you got a good deal.
  14. Ad says those reels are exempt from the bring a reel deal.
  15. They’ve been doing it for years. Seems they have a pretty good system going.
  16. Often, having a bunch of stuff just means you spend your time buying instead of fishing. That said though, I have a lot of stuff; 60 years of stuff. Get some basic baits you can fish different depths with and go use it. Learn how to present a bait. Forget about how good they look in all your tackle boxes.
  17. I use a lock instead of a pin so the trailer doesn’t get stolen.
  18. Fished a little river with a pole and twine. Used worms dug from the pigpen. I caught bluegills and suckers. Sometime I would sell them to folks in the nearby coal camp. They would pay with coal mining script, enough to get me a pop and a candy bar. Fist time I fished Cherokee Lake with my stepfather I thought I had hit it big. Come to think about it, I had hit it big. He and I had some great times on the water. This past Christmas I gave my two 11 year old grandsons some fishing plugs (lures) that he gave me. Still have a big old clunky Zebco 89 he gave me for my first rod and reel.
  19. Step-father hooked me in the butt cheek with a live spring lizard!!
  20. No, but my wife might have Her: “You have too much fishing stuff.”
  21. Praying for a good outcome.
