What Lure Caught Your Biggest Bass In 2014 ?
Mine was on a Dingo

Jackall Gantarel Bluegill Swimbait
Thats it right there. Don't short your self trying to be cheap and get a bait because it was cheap. That might be ok with other lures but swimbaits are not the same. There is a reason this bait costs $50-100 and its a good reason. You get what you pay for. This is a quality over quantity type of fishing.

If your looking for a bluegill type of glide or just BG profile I can't recommend a S-Song enough. Yea they cost a little bit of money but they are a flat out catching machine. Chop your retrieve and they just can't stand it. The amount of glide it has for such a small bait is impressive. You can get a good 2' side to side. You can retrieve it any way you want and it will get them. A giron is much cheaper but is a total joke to me. It catches fish and I have bagged a few 5+ on it but it's junk in comparison. It casts like total garbage and you have to crawl it to keep it from rising not to mention IMO any glide it has is almost nonexistent. For lots of these northern lakes and ponds where bluegill is what's for dinner that profile is hard to beat for catching the big girls.

They been around for a while now. There is also a bunch of baits they make that are similar to hudds.

Any Experience With These Baits?
Don't sleep on the S-Song. I probably caught more fish on that bait then anything last year. It just gets bit everywhere and is the perfect size for small and big fish.

Big O
I have a couple square bills with rattles that I use and they kill it. They are tiny like a square A but cast great cause they have weight to them.

Groundhog Day
I doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think it is probably because it has no basis on anything and means absolutely nothing.

How To Know When To Throw Top Water Frogs?
They will miss a lot or only grab the legs and drag it down. They don't even always try to eat a frog every time. Sometimes they hit it to stun or injure it and then come back again. Try and walk it really fast after a miss like it's getting away. Then if they don't grab it pretty quick again pause it. It's like such a gurantee for me I am surprised when I don't get a follow up.

Lews Lfs Or Orra Sx
I have not fished either but I doubt there is much difference really between. If there is a highly doubt it would be game changing. For the $100 price tag I will always take a Tatula. IMO it really has no competiton until you start getting at $150 reels like it should be.

Attachment To Prevent Snags
You use a similar concept when slow rolling hudds. Peg a glass bead in front of you bait and it keeps all the slime from getting stuck all over the nose of it. As for making lures weedless if it can prevent trebles from fouling that could be advantageous. For almost all top hook baits that problem has been solved. I made something last year that is guaranteed 99% weedless and works flawlessly. I cut the stupid weed guards off jigs usually since there junk and my idea is far superior. Btw that picture reminds me. You can one of those clear suction cups with the hooks and pop a hole in the middle and turn it backwards in front of a bait. It turns anything into a chatter bait basically.

How To Know When To Throw Top Water Frogs?
It's always time. Some kind of top water is always a option usually. Even at times they won't break the surface cause it's so cold or whatever they might just suck down. When it's super cold like it is now up north I won't even bother unless it's like a slammer or something. That bait just work not matter the temp.

Deciding On A A Rig
I don't throw them much buch the flash mobs work and can be had easily. The Picasso ones are also good. I was super interested in the paycheck one when I first saw it but just never got one. It's arms are semi flexible and you can like pulse it and get more movement out of it. I think they are way more durable also.

7-9 Swim Bait Rod
I am sure you can use it. I have thrown paddle tails on a 1-4 oz swim bait rod. The length might be a issue and you might have to work it sideways.

Trolling:banned For Bass. Why.
For me it is not as exciting to do. It's pretty much a staple for walleye out here though. But those fish are 99.99999% of the time kept. It would be pretty boring to me to troll for a 1-2# bass. Even normal fishing and catching fish that size is somewhat beat. I guess that's why I have moved towards big swimbaits and such.

How Long To Soak Bearings?
I don't get why your bearings would have grease in them to begin with. All you should really be spinning out is whatever you use to clean the bearings. In my case it would be lighter fluid.
-
Why Faster Bearings?
I am not going to quote the whole post above me. As for it when it's most effective and that it would be at a higher rpm I will give a easy example. So say you have a giant magnet that was strong enough to move your car. If you go blowing by the magnet at 120 mph how much do you think the magnet would change anything. Now imagine going past the same magnet at 5 mph. That's the best way I suppose I can explain it to make sense.

How Long To Soak Bearings?
Just so you know bearing fit perfectly balanced on the reel pieces it is meant for. It's amazing how amazing a spool bearing fits on a spool shaft so you can spin it out. Same goes for the shaft bearing ect. The perfect tool is so obvious that's it is overlooked.

Making A Swim Bait Weedless
This seems vaguely familiar to me...

How Long To Soak Bearings?
I don't really soak them but submerge them and swirl them around with a small screwdriver. I think creating movement works the best to flush them. I also use zippo fluid the flush bearings.

Lews Speed Spool
Chances are your main or pinion gear are boogered up and that's why it feels that way. There might be some grit in there somehow but I highly doubt it. Change the main and pinion out and it will be smooth as butter again. It's a solid reel and gears wearing out is just part of the game.As for the screeching that is a spool bearing for side plate bearing. They might be dry or have a little rust or something and need cleaned.
