  1. If in a tournament and they follow me around or jump ahead then yeah, I wouldn’t like it. If just messing around them no, I don’t care Mike
  2. It’s just me! Mike
  3. Sometimes Switching lines on reels and reels on rods is all that’s needed to find just the right combination of balance, feel and comfort. Mike

Glad you got out, I’m sure it felt good. Ya ain’t fishing if you don’t backlash once in a while. ?? Mike
  5. Milk, eggs, meat or fishing line... When in doubt throw it out Mike

I remember when we had the BR road trip on Wilson. I think it was 2014. Big O attended that one also and passed out the new prototype Rage Bug he was working on.. The weather was much nicer then Mike
  8. Sorry I couldn’t make it last night. I was looking forward to it but my daughter rescheduled the baby’s party. See ya next time Mike
  9. May be late.. Baby’s birthday party is tonight also. Mike
  10. I use a 3/16 when swimming any cut, or ribbon tail plastic. Ive found it to be just enough to get the action moving consistently. Mike Sorry I just realized I misread your thread. You were asking about using them for a Ned rig which I don’t use. Mike

For punching I’ve pretty much got my choices down to the Rage Bug or Sweet Beaver, depending on the action they prefer. I’ve been using the Rage Craw a lot lately in moderate to light cover. Mike
  12. Beautiful Fish! Congrats Mike
  13. Look at the Phenix X Series of rods. They have rods rated up to 3 oz from 7’ to 7’6” Mike
  14. 20# Shooter 16# Sniper 65# or 80# Power Pro for punching/heavy cover. Never a leader Mike
  15. Thanks Jim! And everyone else who responded with their comments. I pulled the trigger just yesterday on the Siera 735C. I’m hoping it can double as heavy cover/punch rod in a pitch, but if not that’s ok. Mike
  16. Down here for me the biggest bags have always been from Dec to April. My top 5, all double digits came from early Jan to late April. PB was in mid March The next 5 were all in the summer. Mike
  17. And when one of those times it’s a bass, you’ll forget about all the sticks. Mike
  18. Don’t worry about trying to discern what kind of fish you have. What you feel can be a slight tick, a hard pull or nothing at all. Watch your line for any movement as bass will suck in your bait, move on and you won’t know it. Count your bait down to the bottom. Then on any subsequent throw if it doesn’t get that far set the hook! Also, if it just doesn’t feel right, set! It doesn’t cost you anything. When in doubt set anyway. Many times I thought I had a fish and it turned out it just was my bait moving over, under or through something. You’ll never know until you hook em. After awhile you’ll get the hang of it. Mike
  19. It wouldn’t surprise me at all that at some point every record for every species have been caught. it’s unfortunate that we’ll never know. Mike
  20. So sorry to hear this. He was a great angler and a better man.
  21. However, To me, Tatsu is still the best.
  22. I use Sunline products exclusively for all flouro needs. I went the InvisX route a few times and although being a good product, I just couldn’t get past the amount of stretch it has compared to Sunline’s Sniper and Shooter lines. Anyway, I use 20# Shooter for heavy vegetation and woody areas and 12, 14 and 16 Sniper for everything else. Mike
  23. Looks a lot like what we have down here, and that’s in Minn? @Boomstick @MN Fisher I’ve been going around and around the last week or so looking for a new frog rod. The last few days there has been a few threads about them that you guys were posting about and now this. Don’t know about anyone else, but you convinced me. I just ordered the Siera Mag Heavy. Thanks for making my headache go away! ? Mike
