Boca Bearings worth it?
The Helios has ABEC 5 so no need to upgrade those. The Citica if you can use just one brake and able to control that easily there are gains to be had by going aftermarket bearings. It will basically come down to your casting abilities if upgrading bearings will be of any benefit. Most seem to get better bearings then add oil or increase braking or spool tension because the new bearings spin so freely thus they lose all the benefits. Like you will read people comment -"I can cast the same distance more easily but not any farther cause when I give the same effort I backlash"-. Thats the users fault, if that person could cast with same effort and still control the spool distance will increase its simple physics. I also feel the brake system will determine the gains as well. The old Shimano VBS and gen1 SVS I saw bigger gains with BOCAS than the latest Shimano SVS Infinity system. Daiwa SV reels of mine not much gains on those with ZPI or HH air.

Stay with one brand of reels?
Reel to reel models in Daiwa have different feels even among the SV series of reels. Their braking profiles differ to a degree with springs that are stiffer or inductor sizes that vary or spool sizes or magnet strength. A Tatula SV doesnt cast/feel the same as the SV105. A Tatula doesnt cast the same as the T3 magZ vs mag3D. Shimano the same way a Curado E doesnt cast the same as the Curado I and the Curado K now has changed with the newest brake system. So unless you stay current use all the same brand model versions their will be differences. The best equalizer would be a highly trained thumb to lessen those changes between brands models.

Lens Color Help
Mirror definitely makes a difference on Oakley and Costa maybe not Maui's. Take the same Oakley lens say Black polarized gray its LT is 10% add the mirror coating Black Iridium polarized gray LT goes to 9%, reflect a bit more light. The Maui coating not having an effect may be the cause of the annoying back light reflection my Banyans suffered with. " Costa Mirror sunglasses will reflect light and reduce glares. On the water, the mirror lens will also help you see fish better. Costa mirrored lenses are made through a high-tech beam ion deposition process. This process makes the lenses the most scratch resistant available." This video has Costa employee explaining the difference.

Casting Distance
You really didnt give any facts. Ill take my results of my actual measurements as facts for me to judge what others claim. What constitutes a scientific casting test? What lure did they use or plug weight? Id be willing to put up a considerable amount of money that I can cast 10 times a t-rigged senko an avg of 100 feet or more using a decent 12# mono and my Curado 70 or Chronarch CI4 or Core50mg7. Ill up it to 120 feet avg with say a 1/2oz RES. That would be an easy victory. Look at this video of THE REEL TEST measuring casts throwing a senko. All reels avg over 100'. Both these reels avg over 150' with lipless crank.

Afraid to use....
I have a limited amount left of the discontinued Watermelon/Chartreuse Palm Trees that I ration myself to 4 packs per year. I will use mend-it on them over and over again to prolong life. I have one other lure a RES that caught my PB Crappie and pretty much no longer use. I bought quite a number of RES that washout at faster speeds so switched to other brands. I went to Silent running Rapala RippinRaps had a Blue/Chrome that was an excellent fish catcher. Was lax on getting extra and sure enough they discontinued those. Then out at "home' lake a toothy critter took my last one from me.

Reel Technologies
Shimano for me. Not liking the SV jazz daiwa has on the individual reels I purchased. Think it gives a person a false sense of being good with a bc reel if they are not exposed to other types systems. They arent getting trained, if you will, on using their thumb to help work a cast. So when they go to a different reel they cant use it correctly. Then they blame the reel. The svs system on shimano lets me free up the spool more to my liking not that restrictive feeling daiwa sv wants me to use. For those that are, set and forget, the svs is that way too set 3 brakes and 4 on dial it works with ned rigs up to frogs no changes needed. I felt the stock vbs was restrictive as well on my 50e's and core. Needed lighter brake blocks and better bearings to free them up. With regular red blocks and 2 brakes on it killed the performance but thats how most say they used theirs. Thats fine but when the better svs came along that offered better performance many now dont have the ability to take advantage of the system. They think well I used 2 brakes on vbs so why not on svs. Then going to 3 brakes on svs in their mind makes the reel not as good, wrong, its the user that is not as good. Thats my take between D&S in this litte area.

Best small test braid? Fireline?
This line strength is nice but knot strength is more important. Take 30# smackdown and fishnfool knot Palomar knot and sdj knot it will break in the low 20-22# range. Now 20# pp super8slick with same knots will hold to 25-26# range. Both Dia the same .009 but pps8s is quieter and costs less, ftw

braided line power pro or spiderwire..........
Super 8 Slick or Gamma Tourqe over any of the others mentioned so far.

Daiwa Zillion vs Shimano Chronarch OR! Shimano Curado K vs Daiwa Tatula SV TW
You will be losing distance but gaining control. I have a Tatula100 and TatSV the Tat100 casts farther. Curado 70, Chronarch MGL both cast farther than the SV. Youtube vids show the K throwing lipless cranks farther. The K would be my choice over the TatSV and the Curado K can be bought for $150 a smoother more refined farther casting reel. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Shimano-Curado-200XGK-Bait-Casting-Reel-2017-New-Mode-Right-Hand-2221-/132460018883?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10

Look up Scott Martin vids on youtube. Think he used 10-12# line with shiners Florida canal peacock fishing.

Best of youtube
X2 for youtubefishingvids though the brand of braid he uses is quite noisy.

Any Sufix Nanobraid Users ?
I used 8# Nanobraid all last year cause my NanoFil ran out so gave NB a shot and like it a lot for light braid. Strong, somewhat quiet, casts very well and durable for its dia. Definitely choose it over seaguar brands in that strength. Tighter weave than super8slick. Smoother and casts a little father than 8# power pro. Even as good as Nanobraid was for me I just bought more 8# NanoFil, thats my favorite light line casts better than all the above and more sensitive its quieter and got it on sale.
