  1. Couldn't you tie some inflated inner tubes to the side of your boat to make it more stable while on the water? All you would need are some inner tubes and a couple of heavy gauge screws with large eyelets that you can screw into something sturdy in your boat. Keep em in your boat when towing and throw em out to the side and tighten the rope to keep em stuck to the side of your boat. When taking them back out just loosen the ropes and you can pull em back in. I tried to kind of draw what I mean in MS Paint, but I don't know how much more itll help.

I'll take those foiled bluegills off your hands if you don't like 'em. Heck, I'll even throw in shipping. In all seriousness I think they look fine. I'm sure they'll catch plenty of fish. If I hadn't blown all my money on jig making supplies and shiny JDM reels I'd definitely order a couple of them from ya.
  3. He definitely did some nice work. Only took him around an hour including xrays every ten minutes or so. Surprisingly, I felt very little pain during the days after the procedure and ended up tossing the painkillers prescribed to me. Says a lot about how steady his hands must have been.
  4. Funny that jigs should be mentioned. I guess I was just lucky with jigs because the first day I fished with them I caught several fat ones and I've kept at least one finesse and one full skirt jig tied on ever since. Cranks and jerkbaits, on the other hand.... :-?

  7. Sounds like the opposite of my problem. Because I tend to keep constant tension in my line and am a lazy guy, I've developed a habit of setting the hook by flicking my wrist to my outside. It's almost like a twitch, so the plus side is that I set the hook almost immediately after the initial nibble - I rarely ever gut hook bass as a result. However, the problem with this is that fish tend to occasionally unbutton themselves due to a slightly dull hook not hooking them solidly. Then again, I'd rather have a fish unbutton themselves to fight me another day than swim around with a 1/2 ounce jig or crankbait stuck in their mouth.

  10. Darn, just a little too late. ;D
  11. I dunno what my dentist gave me, but I had an inch long and approximately 5 mm diameter titanium screw drilled into my upper jaw in preparation for an implant and the initial shot tided me over for the entire session. Maybe it was just a healthy dose of testosterone.
  12. Not the greatest quality, but I don't feel like digging up the original.
  13. You assume everyone's priority is catching the most fish.

  16. Headin to the post office in a little bit. I think my guy's gonna love what's in the box. ;D
  17. I also get my skirt tabs there. They also sell the exact same kit, so you could probably pick up a kit there and add some extra skirt material and misc items like rattle bands and rattles to your cart at the same time and have it all ship in one box.
  18. For large mop style jigs, I usually use a longer 5-6" finesse worm. For non-mop style jigs where I want some bulk, I like the LFTL Pig Claws.
  19. Netbait Slim Shake Worms. They're made for wacky rigging and are really thin and flexible and wiggly. That means they're not too durable, but eh, you get like 25 to a pack and they're cheap! Plus they work pretty well.
  20. The Hale Craw Worm looks a lot like the Gene Larew Salt Craws. Have you tried those yet?
  21. well i feel bad cause i've done really well with your tungsten swimbait. took a while to get to where i could fish it correctly, but it paid off for sure. great gift. if i get your name again i'll send you some roboworms ;D geez, how is the 25$ limit gonna work if i draw Red Line Robert?! A pair of unshielded SS ABEC 7 bearings for Daiwa reels ofc.
  22. Wanna buy me a few(6-8?)in assorted colors and stuff em in a flat rate box and get em to me? I'll pay for shipping. If I can make it out there today I will for sure. The only problem is we have a foot of snow and the roads are a sheet of ice. Appreciate it! And yeah, the weather this year has been dismal. We had freezing rain today and the black ice caused all sorts of mayhem. Must have passed 7 or 8 wrecks on my way to get groceries today.

  24. I always thought that the Norman Fatboys were touted to emulate balsa, but weren't actually made of balsa?
