Seperate Rod and Reel for hung/snagged lures?
Different one but the Frabill is what I use to have and they're very good.

Does there come a point in time where it's just over with?
Little inflowing water, water was 1.5 degrees warmer than everywhere else, big shad were there, lots of sharp little drops near the shoreline.

“Best” all- purpose line? (P-line cxx?)
I use CXX for a lot of my moving baits, and also some jigs and T rigs. It's good line, just make sure to use lighter line than you normally would.

Help choosing St. Croix Legend Tournament spin
One of my friends uses the 7' 1" for shakyheads and really likes it. Just my preference, I wouldn't want anything that stout.

Table Rock Guides
I'd go with Wenners or Babler if it were me. Those 2 know that lake as good as anyone around and are nice guys and really good at teaching folks on top of it.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2018
I thought they were going to prove me completely wrong with the way they started. Instead, they're just showing that I've been a Chiefs fan for way too long Before their bye week when they were facing the Giants, Bills, then Jets, everyone was saying they'd get hot and win out. I said I could see them not winning another game, I wish I'd put money on it now. #FreeMahomes

Building A Bait Pen for Shad
It has to be round or oval. Like you said, they'll die in no time if the tank has any corners. Most of the big striper guys go for big ovals, look like plastic stock tanks.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Olathe was really good yesterday. 23 bass, half a dozen wipers, more crappie than any one person really needs to catch, couple bluegill, and a channel cat. One of the bass was crazy thick, 16 3/4" and 3.26 pounds. They were knocking slack in the line on the wart.

What pound test for flipping
50 is the standard, but 65 or even 80 is needed for heavy grass at times. I used 30 a lot this year for fishing sparse grass and wood.

Help choosing St. Croix Legend Tournament spin
I have the 6' 8", one of the most versatile spinning rods I've ever owned. I've held the 7' 1", it's way stiffer than I like a spinning rod to be. If I needed anything like that, I'd use a casting rod.

Lures for now until ponds freeze? MO/midwest area
Suspending jerkbait, rattle trap, light shakyhead with a straight tailed worm.

Strike King 3xd
The 3XD is a good bait. The body is about half the size of the 5XD, similar in size to a Bandit 100-300 body size if that helps. They get down pretty good for a smaller bait.

Ned Rig Mushroom Head Weight Question
I don't believe he's hit 101 at all this year. We had a ton of rain this spring that dirtied the water and made it difficult for finesse fishing techniques. I've had 4 or 5 days with triple digit numbers of fish this year, but those are full days on the water, not 4 hours.

Custom Rods by Ghoti
Gary made me a beautiful little rod that I use for panfish, trout, and UL lures for bass. Not only does it look nice, but it's handled some great fish too.

Post Thanksgiving Giveaway
I've donated large lots of plastics and cranks to a couple different high school fishing teams, and also to a program to take wounded Vets fishing. You might check if any local schools have a fishing team that you could donate them to.

Seperate Rod and Reel for hung/snagged lures?
I have one of these, Not only does it save nearly 100% of my baits that get stuck, but I use it to recover dozens of baits that others have lost every year.

Does there come a point in time where it's just over with?
Location is very important when the water gets cold. So much water will have no fish or very few fish, but then small areas will have large concentrations. I fished for 3 hours yesterday morning without a bite, then caught 23 in the next hour and a half from a small area and missed several more. I've had great days fishing ponds and lakes that were partially frozen, even from shore.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Caught way more bass than I expected to yesterday, considering I set out to chase wipers. Those weren't cooperating like I'd hoped so I chased the green ones while looking for lost baits. Found 14 baits, including a Pompadour Jr, and caught one of the fattest/thickest bass I've ever caught on a homemade finesse brush jig. Only 16 3/4" long, but 3.26 pounds. Caught several nice ones on a wart my buddy painted up for me.

A good day using suspending jerks
Suspending jerkbaits are always a top producer for me once the water gets into the low 50's and on down into the high 30's. Colder the water the longer the pause typically.

What makes the best spinnerbaits transmit vibration/feel?
Terminators are great thumping blades I believe because of the flexibility of the titanium. I used to fish a tandem Colorado/Oklahoma bladed 1/2oz white Terminator first thing in the spring and slow rolled it. I would always catch some of my biggest fish of the year doing that. I've not used many Stanley's, and the ones I did were double willowleaf that aren't supposed to have much thump. I hope there aren't big changes made to War Eagle. There's just something about them that the fish around here and especially in the Ozark lakes, really seem to like.
